Let's Discuss High Quality Rock and 70's Soft Rock Drum Midi; especially for Toontrack. I am on Mac and I have legit copies of SD, EZD, BFD3, Addictive Drums, etc. I really am not looking for metal or strange, busy time signatures. This is for songwriting and brainstorming. I play Roland V-Drums, Toraiz, M1AM1, pretty much everything. I write soft rock and bubblegum pop songs reminiscent of the ancient days, Tom Petty, Charlie Watts (RIP), Ringo Starr, Jim Keltner, The Monkees, Franki Valli, Buddy Holly, etc. I also like 80s Miami Freestyle.

Can anyone steer me to a nice collection that is well-ordered, high quality, and available for the types of music I am doing? I want to put them in a specific midi folder so I can use the groove functions in SD3 and EZD3, etc. Thanks!

Hi...I'm writing in the same vein...I use SD3, with EZX expansions...Try EZX Pop Rock, Music City USA SDX, Sixties Pop Grooves, I find a lot of the old style soul /Motown grooves can be easily be adapted to bubblegum, try playing around with dropping velocity and kits selection to be era authentic
Also the old Groove Monkee libraries (especially RB1, Rock ,Rock 3, Rock Essential 1 & 2, and Soft Rock) . Tap2find is your friend. use it to find a groove then explore that folder it usually fits the bill
