    DAF (Deutsche Amerikanische Freundschaft, hope I still remember my German spelling) was dripping in irony, starting from the band name. They did the whole flirting with faschist symbolism business way before Rammstein or Laibach. So no, they were not Nazis. Just don't sing along this at work!

    Always one of his greatest compositions to me. It's almost too good to be true that he's assembled world class musicians such as Ruth Underwood on vibes and percussion with empresssario George Duke on keys (before playing with Frank he didn't use synthesizers and didn't sing in performance as far as I know) as well as master monster beater Chester Thompson on drums, the freak genius of Napoleon Murphy Brock as multi-instrumentalist and singer, and last but not least Tom Fowler holding down the bass. Is it all a dream?
