Awesome guitarist! Very sad to hear the news earlier today. The De Lucia, Di Meola and McLaughlin trio inspired me alot when I was younger. I got better at guitar after watching/imitating/learning what these guys did/played. Mediterranean Sun Dance is a complete classic!

Yes me too i almost gave up learning guitar because of those three and Vai,Satch,Yngwie etc etc, I thought it was impossible to play like that.. Anyway i soon realized that you have to practice and practice all the time many hours every day to be that good. Not like i did back then. I took up my guitar played for 10 min then i didn´t play for 3 to 5 days except in the weekends when our bands practice. And some weeks i didn´t touch the guitar at all.
