No, just one Pro Tools per machine. I strongly recommend legit PT, if you need it for your business. Cracked PT has never been released in the last 8 years, and you can't rely on any cracked version.

 

There are NEWER versions that DON'T rely on a now UNOBTAINABLE PT first license??? That's some news. Please list the late versions that don't rely on PT first and that are as stable as 12.5 HD. And for the record the AU 12.5.xx release of PT HD is solid as a rock.

 

It is possible to run cracked PT 10 (32bit) next to a newer legit version of PT (64bit) on , for example, windows 10. But installation is a bit of a headache, since they are using some shared folders..

If Avid didn't have such an ridiculously expensive pricing structure I would happily support them.

AudioUTOPiA's version is decent, but it's from 2015, one era ago. The question (that you asked) was referring to whether you can use the cracked one and the original one alongside together, and the answer is NO. So if you're serious about Pro Tools and you're already a legit user, you want to keep being legit. But as far as I understand you use the cracked version, so can you explain the meaning of your comment? What's the point of opening this thread so? Is this a request thread?

 

Take a look at Sandboxie Plus. The Programm separate Filesystem Access to his own strukture.

 

In order to use the half baked R2R unlocker, you must be a legit user, at least Standard or Ultimate (better) in order to use the 2021.07 version; if you use the ancient audioutopia 12, you can only use that. Or switch to legit. In all cases you cannot be cracked and legit in the same machine. In fact even in the special case of R2R, which the same Team considers it "as a bonus" you still have to be legit, which you obviously aren't. Now that you have all the answers, it's best that you close the thread, before it becomes a request thread and is closed by the admins

 

I use both on my windows system, there's a trick to it, but it can be done, you just have to move your 12.5 folder out of program files to another location before you install the newer version, as of right now, I have 3 versions working, 12.5, the 2021.7 R2R and legit 2023

I have 3 working versions on my windows 11 machine, two are cracked and one is legit.....

Its not as complicated as many make it out to be. I successfully installed: PT 10HD (MKNDS), PT 12.5HD (AU), and PT ULTIMATE 2021 (R2R).
1. Install PT 10 HD Successfully. It should install in Program Files (x86). Verify successful
2. Install PT 12 HD. It should install in Program Files. Verify successful
3. Make a back up archive zip or rar file for the Avid folder ( C:\Program Files\Avid ) and then rename the Avid folder.
4. Install PT Ultimate. It should install in Program Files folder. Verify successful
5. Move the PT ultimate "Avid" folder or the PT 12HD "Avid" folder you just renamed, to your "Recovery D:/" drive.
6. Rename the folder back to its proper name "AVID"
7. Run the patches for PT 10HD again.
8. Verify they all work.
1st. PT 10.
2nd PT 12.
3rd PT 2021.

PS. I made a back up copy of ProTools.exe Files for each and over wrote existing ones based on folder location. I also updated the shortcuts to new folder path and files directory

 

I opened the thread to find out if you can use legit Pro Tools alongside a cracked version on the same Windows machine. I am hoping to find out how to do so.

 

Sure, 1. install the Audiotopia 12.5 and all drivers needed to run it, second, I registered a PT first account and installed pt first, before I installed the R2R 2021.7 version, I copied my 12.5 protools folder over to a second drive essentially making it a portable version, next I installed the R2R 2021.7 because it depends of the first license but Installs to the directory where the 12.5 was located, I also copied the r2r pt version folder to a different directory, and finally, installed legit 2023, so essentially the 12.5 and R2R 2021.7 are portable versions rrunning alongside the legit 2023 version, anyway, it works on my windows 11 PC that way

 

Any performance differences betweeen R2R 12.5 and the most up to date legit PT?

 

The R2R 2021.7 and legit both load slightly faster than 12.5 audiotopia, but it's not fast enough to really notice using daily, and you can't use K'd plugins with legit, the r2r and 12.5 audiotopia versions you can, 12.5 is the most stable version I've used so far
