Hello everyone once again, I'm here to ask if you guys had any problems switching from Monterey to Ventura with using cracked plugins such as Kontakt 6, Waves Bundle, FabFilter Bundle, etc. (the common industry standard plugins). I was thinking about buying an M2 Pro and downgrading to Monterey but turns out, Monterey isn't supported on the M2 Pro machines. I'm starting to think about buying an M1 Pro for Monterey because every plugin works like a charm for me on my M1 Air with Monterey 12.1 (256 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM). What are your experiences so far with cracked plugins on Ventura? Thanks in advance

Running Ventura 13.1 on an M1 Pro myself, Kontakt 6+7 and FabFilter run fine for me, as does the rest of my collection.
Waves Bundle is not officially k'd available as far as I know, but might work via Rosetta 2.
Not using that bundle myself though so no guarantee.

I really appreciate your comment. Glad that Kontakt and FabFilter's are working perfectly. I mainly use them along with Keyscape, Trillian, Omnisphere and Addictive Drums. Do you use any of these by any chance?

And do you know if updating versions of the same MacOS cause any problems with the cracks such as upgrading from 13.1 to 13.3?

I'm on Ventura. I skipped past Monterey when I updated. My Omnisphere eats a huge bunch of CPU for breakfast, but I haven't updated it since way back. It does work, though, and surely works better with updates. I also use FabFilter plugs and those work fine. I don't use Kontact or Waves, though.

Ventura is the most compatible OS I’ve ever used since back in OS Lion days. Everything works! I’m not kidding here I’ve even managed to run older versions of spire, volume shaper 3 and arts acoustic reverb. These stopped working a long time ago but now I can load up old projects from the archive, the only way to do this previously was to install an older version of OS. Rosetta 2 works a charm!

seriously though take the leap. I jumped from Mojave to Ventura on a new M2 Max and it’s been the best decision. I’ve also managed to get Waves working I’d on native arm.

There are ways to get things to work, just do your research and take your time. It took me a good 2-3 weeks on it daily to get my audio system with all plugins installed and working perfectly. I do run into the occasional crash on very old projects but that’s expected.

That's great to hear! Even waves working natively, wow. I thought Monterey was compatible enough haha thanks for your input.

make a full backup of your system and try for yourself on current machine, that's probably best you can do imo,

so far my experience with Ventura in general is mediocre when it comes to MacOS itself, but fairly smooth when it comes to any plugins/apps, but do keep these things in mind:

primary concern is driver/device support if you have some fancy but older audio interface or midi controller etc...
(recent) plugins usually work but some older apps and DAW versions may not be (officially) compatible,
de-quarantine and code-signing may be bit different thanks to ongoing Apple's obsession with security,
very few softwares loose license upon MacOS upgrade no idea why (I think MS Office for ex.),
if you have LittleSnitch (or free LULU), you'll be able to monitor/restrict network interaction,
Rosetta2 remains equally compromised, so if you already got M1 with Monterey, there shouldn't be any nasty surprises,
recent DAW updates are phasing out Rosetta2 (no longer being default but still toggle-able)

Very very happy to hear this! Thanks. Do you by any can see if Kontakt 5 works on Ventura? I install my Kontakt Libraries from Kontakt 5 and use it on Kontakt 6. If Kontakt 5 works I will be a very very happy man! Thanks in advance.

I was thinking about backing up my whole system with Time Machine and upgrading to Ventura, but as far as my research goes, Time Machine doesn't actually revert the MacOS updates. So I might encounter some problems if I do so.

Thank you for your personal opinions about the MacOS too, I appreciate it!

Kontakt 5.6.0 standalone (which comes with several packages) runs fine under Rosetta and is useful to make some older libs work. You have to add them with KiTTY scripts and ALSO add them in Kontakt 5.6.0 so they show up in Kontakt 7.

I don't know why but I've always had problems installing with the KLU. Trying to find the banner of the Kontakt library is also a big struggle for me.

Also when installing with the KLU, sometimes the freshly downloaded libraries can be found under the "Libraries" tab in Kontakt but some of them don't. But when searched through the "Files" tab, it works. Do you know why it happens and if it's possible, how can I move it from the "Files" tab to the "Libraries" tab where it shows its banner and such? Thanks in advance!

Great to hear that it works! I'm using Kontakt 6, because I thought not every single library would work on the Kontakt 7, and the cracking of the libraries might be a little different to do.

at the rate they are blowing through "new operating systems", the answer to many of these questions will probably change by the time you get the new machine. Personally, I wouldn't make a decision about buying a new machine over this. You'll get it working by hook or by crook.

Can you tell me how you started artsacoustic revetb? At my place it keeps blocking the application system after replacing the crack files. In privacy settings I allow the application to open to no avail.
As for waves it does not install all packages for me. The installation gets to 60% and that's the end of it. I am powerless
