True, human beings are capable of such things, but let's not forget the 'good stuff', creativity, inspiration, music, etc. In these times, it's crucial to be more optimistic, that's at least my opinion.

Though I admit, half of the 'good stuff' is fixing the colossal "fck ups" of the influential minority, e.g. green energy, alternative treatment, animal reintroduction, passive houses, etc.

Human psychology is pretty interesting. Let's take UFOs for example. Thousands of people saw them, yet one voice who says "You must be an idiot to believe this shit" is enough to change many people's opinion. Nobody wants to be an "idiot" and everybody believes only what they saw with their own eyes. Or human made global warming. Thousands of credible scientists who have been studying it for years and decades have been warning us for decades about it, yet a few "pre-paid" by "someone" scientists who claim it isn't human made and that it isn't happening is enough to make scores of people think differently. That happens not just because people don't want to be "idiots", but also because people choose to believe what suits them best so that they can feel "clean", peaceful witihin their own mind and just continue living in a "bubble" created by themselves like nothing is happening. "It's not my problem". "Somebody else will take care of it". "Everything is just fine because this guy says so."

All these governmental agencies know the human psychology perfectly well and take advantage of it.

I can bet someone will read this and say "this guy is an idiot because he thinks all this is true". It's because you read one article in the mainstream media that says so, disregarding the thousands of other articles in other media that doesn't say so. You choose to believe what makes you feel the most comfortable and you don't want to be an "idiot". People are so full of it.
