Well, I simply removed the block for Kontakt 7 Portable and now it works fine!
It creates connections to about 12 addresses, all 127.0.0.xxxxx so it's all local.

Turns out JUCE is still compatible with Windows Vista and above. A regression was caused in the last version 7.0.4, it's fixed in 7.0.5 thankfully.

 

There is Cubase 12 version on the Russian tracker that works fine on Windows 7. Cubase 12 is using a newer API that isn't supported by Windows 7. I have made myself one (Cubase 12.0.30) that works fine on my Windows 8.1. Both are based on R2R's version.

 

GForce Minimonsta2 doesn't run on Win7.

Note: Version 1.0.1 has been released, works on Win7.

Traktor Pro above 3.6.2 won't work on Win7 x64 (GetDpiForWindow error or something similar).

 

Polydigm Klimper v. 2.0.6 doesn't work on Win 7.

 

@fishnose GForce Minimonsta2 v1.0.1 now works on Windows 7

 

@fishnose & @Recoil. The Vst2 version works too (Tested with Ableton 10.1.41)

 

@Sylenth.Will.Fall I use only VSTi2 because I can sample every instrument in this file format, in VSTi3 I can't do that anymore

Kazrog KClip doesn't like Windows 7. In fact it froze my Ableton Live session.

 

KClip 3 full version working without any problems here.

 

Serato Studio v2.0.1 doesn't work on Win7.
The previous version, v1.7.x, works fine.

Had to go back to Kclip 3.5.0 after the last update as it was freezing ableton as well. Can confirm that this version works perfectly in windows 7

 

For Music I'm still using 7, I try new plugins on a spare PC, if they don't work I don't care. My requirements are basic.

 

on the torrent market there is Cubase 12.0.10 pro adapted for wines 7 and 8 works fine

 

Guitar Rig 7 don't work on Windows 7, but the good news is that the UVI software (Falcon, Workstation) still works

 

Strangely enough Orange vocoder IV works in Win 7 x64, only it takes long to be recognized the first time by DAW (Reaper in this case).
