    No, never happened to me.
I've installed over 800 libraries, never had this happen.
    Both bobdule's Kontakt 6 and vkdanilov's Portable Kontakt 6.
I much prefer Portable (I have 6 of them installed for different types of libraries), as I don't even need a nicnt then.
Also, the Library Manager in Portable is so darn good.

If the library has an embedded wallpaper in the nicnt, it turns up. If not, I add one, just put it in the root of the library and it appears.
If I don't like the embedded wallpaper, I add a wallpaper.png and it supersedes the embedded one.
    Wallpaper.jpg also works.
If there are both in the same place, both a wallpaper.jpg and a wallpaper.png, then the png version will be used automatically.
My only reasonable guess as to why some png files are not working, is that the type of png is not recognized by Kontakt as being usable.
Try putting a basic jpg there instead. If you try this, remove the png (or rename it) first.

    Hi Deamon,

I am pretty sure the problem is SNPID related. I recently discovered that the approach that I recommended is not complete. Beside the individual library .xml files in the service center, you need to look into nativeaccess.xml

Have you downloaded the tinytoolz collection? In it is a tool named NI-SnpidLocator.
I suggest that you select one of the problem libraries and do the following:

    1. Determine what the SNPID is in the library's .nicnt file
    2. run NI-SnpidLocator and check to see if the SNPID is being used by something else
    3. if it is found in the nativeaccess.xml (and, hopefully it will be) then
    a. put in another SNPID that you think might work, and when you find one
    b. then use .nicnt program to generate a new one with the new snpid
    c. use the uninstall tool to remove your library
    d. add the library back in
    if not
well, I'm out of my depth.

    Good luck!

    ok, that's good.
We're in roughly the same universe
    I'm still on win10.
Have you ruled out that it's an snpid problem?

    I haven't had a chance yet.

Let me ask, how should a proper SNPID sequence look?

As mentioned before, I was surprised to find I could use ANY alphanumeric combination. A number, and a capital or non- capitalised letter, in any sequence.

Does it have to be a number first, or something?

Looking at available SNPID lists, they all seem to be capital letters and no lowercase letters. Could that be the issue? Will have to test.

EDIT: I did try all capital letters, but no difference.

I'm pretty sure that any alphanumeric combo will work regardless of case. I use both. I think that If there is a problem with the number it is because it is already in use.

I know that bobdule's nicnt create program checks this, but I'm not sure how thoroughly. Look at my earlier post regarding the tinytoolz NI-SNPIDLocator. It will tell you if, and where any conflicts occur. Even within nativeaccess.xml.

Follow the steps in my post above and let me know how you make out.

Let me ask you this: Is your situation that you have libraries appear in the left Side Pane, but there's just a black rectangle and no graphic?
And that the library can load, and works?
So the problem is that you're not getting a wallpaper in the Side Pane but everything else is ok?

yes I have. Deleting everything as explained above and trying a different external drive fixed the problem for me. No idea why?

Yes this is correct for me on some liabries I try to install. Changing to a differnt external hard drive fixed the problem although others worked ok in the past.

Putting the library on a different hard drive, caused the wallpaper in the left side panel, to show up?

    Is this correct?

Yes, all the libraries work just fine, just a few have no pic in the left side panel.

    Hello,

I come back to this post for the same problem.
Some library don't show the wallpaper on the left side of Kontakt even if I made one and put it in the right folder like I did with other libraries.
    Nobody have a solution ?
    Tank you for your help

i'm having issues with getting custom wallpaper to show up on non nks libraries for kontakt. just adding the wallpaper.png to the library unfortunately is not the answer.
