Seriously tempted to trade my Headrush MX-5 for this or just buy it and use the f/x from the Headrush.
The lack of a balanced effect loop is heartbreaking and frustrating, I would have gladly paid extra for that
Edit: said f**k it and bought it online from Sweetwater in the States as they were the only ones who had it in stock.
Phoned my local Long & McQuade store and it wasn't in their system.
Love shopping local but they can't or won't be competitive.
Complacency in music store staff pisses me off.

I wouldn't be surprised if IK comes out with a flagship pedalboard with all the bells and whistles. Since they're coming at this from a software world rather than a hardware one like most other companies in this space, they might still be in the learning process when it comes to hardware.

Seriously?? IK has been making hardware, (and quickly abandoning support for it!), for YEARS!!
The IK Multimedia StompIO-1 was released FIFTEEN years ago to use with Amplitube2!! It's
worked like a dream, had incredible build quality and is just a really cool looking boat anchor!
They abandoned it just ONE year later when they released the, also cool looking and well built
Stealth Pedal for use with Amplitube3. They dumped support for it just as quickly. I actually still
have one. I use it for a doorstop in my studio.

 

Same with Native Instruments.
How many hardware they dropped ?

IK's Amplitube software has always lead their hardware, though, right, whereas Line 6, Kemper, and Fractal came out with hardware modeler/profilers first.

But yeah, like you mentioned, their hardware support track record has been poor. Hopefully the ToneX hardware will have better support as it seems like its software base is attracting attention.

 

From Sweetwater, with exchange, duty and shipping it will be about 600 CAD all inclusive. No sales tax in Alberta. No waiting months for L&M, Sweetwater has exclusive early release.
And better, the gov't sent me $600 tax-free as an inflation subsidy since I'm over 65.
They paid for my Tonex pedal, god bless their pointy little heads

What are the sites to block for cracked tonex, don't have the txt anymore

 

The HELIX/QuadCortex - form factor is inevitable, Once they release that beast It will be game over I guess....

 

I'm having an issue using the 1.1.1 R2R version of tonex in Reaper. The plugin takes forever to scan and forever to load compared to my other amp sim plugins even on a really high end computer. Anyone else having this issue?

 

Same here with Reaper and Studio One. Amplitube not showing anymore, only ToneX standalone seems ok.
[EDIT] working fine after a reinstall of A5.5.3 + T1.1.0.
But it is soooooooooooooooo long (lag)
