Is there any difference between bobdule's Kontakt 7 and vkDanilov's Kontakt 7 Portable in terms of performance (CPU, RAM usage, load times,...)?

 

while my libraries appear in the Library Manager, i can not make them appear in kontakt itself no matter what i have tried
i have googled the topic without result
frustrated

 

Make sure you have your Side Pane switched on.
Your libraries will not be visible in the new Browser, only in the old style Side Pane.

 

ok, you have to select 'export libraries to the NKS content browser' in library options
but now a number of older libraries do not show even though they appear in the library manager

this is the vkDanilov portable version btw
considering just installing BobDule or something

ok i dont have a side pane option like shown on the net, but if i click the two little boxes icon the browser shows up and everything is there
sorry if im a little behind the curve on this stuff hehe :D

 

now that i have gotten past the technical difficulties, i will say the portable loads really fast and seems to work well

 

Portable is the way to go, IMO. Only issue is it takes longer for the cracked portable to drop, but it's worth the wait. Easy to install and transfer if needed. Also plays nice with the legit version. Not sure if the installed k'd does, or not.

 

When you clicked on the 2 little boxes and saw your libraries on the left, that is your Side Pane.

 

The Portable dont manage the new Library browser, also used for sound preview and Maschine, komplete Kontrol integration.

Setup version works as the original without any restriction and a total integration in other NI softwares.


now press II\ to get the Classic Browser view in the portable. The setup version enable both.


some DAW will only show one instance of Kontakt, in this case, if you mix both, only the portable will be seen. to show again the setup version it need to move/delete the portable link.

you can rename the setup files to get many instances or use with a legit version, or previous, all can be mixed without any restrictions.
simply manage the files names.

all of my libraries do not show in the browser view, but they do show in the sidepane view

 

yo im missing a vst file just vst3 any chance of a link to a site with Kontakt 7 portable ... my college projects are on the line here so id love some help

I'm not aable to use the portable version because Cubase 12 gives me blacklisting.
Also Reaper and Studio One.
It works only in standalone mode.

 

That's strange, doesn't happen to me.
But like for the standalone kontakt, I firewalled reaper only to "speak" within loopback/lan, I guess you don't use firewalling.
