in the aftermath, i really appreciated R2R's release. I had the opportunity to try Falcon and for me, it was not worth it. It was not intuitive and for really creating presets, i found it limited.

Not to mention the huge waste of storage space. Sometimes i found like 1 or 2 presets from a 16GB Lib awsome and wanted to keep and resaving this preset with its samples was not possible. (due to ilok shit protection.)

If i had bought Falcon, i would had reclaimed my money as there are far better suitable plugins out there, which work for me.

I guess UVi has tuned their ilok preset. (pretty sure even updated to ilok3)

I'm with you here. I tried the Sonic Pass for 3 months and stopped. Most librairies sound shit (too digital) and the UI is too complicated. I need more immediacy.

I would still purchase some very cool librairies occasionally at Black Friday or something like UVI World, although they are librairies serving this purpose, but this one is somewhat unique in the genre sounds very good. Some Italo Disco / Synthwave libs from UVI are also amazing sounding when it comes to drums, and the kits are ready to go. But yeah all the digital synths are not for me. There are better softwares emulating analog hardwares out there. And sadly the UI interface sucks and some modulation features still missing which for me defeat the point of the investment.

i found the XLN Keys Studio Grand to work very well for me. I know others claim, it sounds to digital, but i like it. And XLN Keys just wins for the super clean GUI.

    I already deleted :

    Bob Moog Foundation Encore Soundbank
    Digital Motion FM
    Digital Synsations Vol 1-2
    Eternal Funk
    Ether Fields
    VintageSynthPads.Bird.of.Flight
    Cinematic Shades
... and some others will follow.

Most sound dated (not in the good "vintage" meaning) and so-so sounding.
Even World Suite 2 is a joke compared to Ethno Wold 6 (and Kontakt workflow).

It is funny to try it lately ... when it is too late to be tempted

For now, special mention goes to Analog Motion : AMAZING sound for retrowave and such :winker:
But i"m pretty sure i can get similar sound with Kontakt, Serum, Spire ...

So much sound, so much stress to choose from...... Just buy a huge harddisk and install all, the chanche that you play the specific sound or sample again is one out a million. Have a nice Day.

That's the main point : we don't have TIME and ENERGY to loose finding a gem in a stack of mud

When i test 10 sounds from a bank that don't stick ... i erase the whole bank.
And when i erase more than 50% banks ... i erase the software itself

It is probably going to happen with Falcon, didn't finished "cleaning" it
I don't hear anything SO special with those soundbanks.

Probably the same with Nexus 4 : acoustics sounds are covered better by Kontakt, electro ones by Serum, Spire ...

Filling hard drives lead us nowhere, because you will just loose your life finding something
    Clean instead of fill

The big problem for Falcon is the manner of making monolith soundbanks. Yes because the library is encrypted.

There is simply no way to keep that one single preset with its samples. But nah lets keep XGB with sounds, which arent interesting to me.

In comparision, Nexus4, Omnisphere, have all very good sounds in its departments and it still keep good sounds, which are worth the space the libary takes. With i agree with everybody here. they are midly impressing and just not worth the space.
I have uninstalled Falcon completely - because the 2-3 presets i found great are not worth keeping 60GB or space occupied by the Soundbanks.

Nexus4: great digital sounds, which yes can be covered by Spire, Serum, but are just ready to play, which takes some time for synth variants.

Omnpshere: Amazing classic Bass sounds via Trillian Satellite - much smaller than UVI stuff. I like those crazy sounds like the burning piano, or the synth part of Omnisphere and there are so many extra presets, which use the samples from the actual Library. The extra soundsets are so small and just expand the existing library by so much.

Kontakt: Simply drop field recordings in it and you can create amazing atmospheres, Drones, wild sounds and if i would use the Library, i guess then i would agree that its a good basic library, which covers most of the interesting parts.

and then we have synths: Spire, Serum, Sylenth1, Uhe, etc they all do just better than Falcon, much better GUI to work with.

(Side Note: Thanks for the opportunity to try Falcon with its library, even it disappointed.)

In my opinion Falcon is replaceable and mediocre! And you can't urge people to learn it and like, so you can feel better and more secure with yourself and your big bloat.

it doesn't even fill 1 full external drive. Kontakt users fill drives all the time. And the application is quite small on it's own. :)
