Hey guys. Quick question please for you Omnisphere pros. The patch is Alternative Fuel Source. In the first multi, sound source B is a synth sound source SawSquareBright. I really like this and essentially solo it (turning off A: Minimoog Raw Square) and edit, creating a new patch without all the other stuff in the original. However, even though I turn off the Arp and set LFO on SawSquareBright, it still has that rhythmic, slicing quality. I would like to lessen that a bit to use it as a lead.

I can set up a new patch and load that waveform, but I don't want to, I like the way this one is set up and the way it sounds. I just want less LFO / rhythmic effect. Any suggestions much appreciated, thank you!

Over on the bottom right are the "ENVELOPES".
The "MODS" envelopes seem to control all the remaining modulation on that Part B.
Select each one and adjust the depth to see the effect.
Check Mod 2 - that is where there is great variation.
Clicking the Plus "+" I see it's got a stepping envelope.
You could lessen the depth or steps or smooth them ...

Thanks so much for responding. I've been working at the Mods yeah... i did exactly as you suggested and in fact turned the depth all the way down on all 4 Mods. Still no dice. It has that same rhythmic / slicing effect. Any other ideas? Could you try it yourself and see if it works for you? Thank you!

Yeah..maybe something else i turned down before I but did not notice.
Of course I muted Part A and turned off the ARP as you said, but maybe I did something else...
    ==========
OK I mute part A, turn off ARP.
And turn off the FX or you will be left with a slow chorus effect

Click on the MODULATION "+" to see the MOD Matrix
Make sure to Click on the "2" for Part "B" (on the right side, above the "TARGET PARAMETER").
    I do not know why they name them 1,2,3 & 4 instead of A,B,C & D.

I turn the mod wheel up a little to hear the sound better.

You can see the movements of the modulations.
Lots of movements there for Part "B" (matrix "2")..

Turning down the Mod Envelope 2 amount gets rid of the distinct 'stepping' effect.
(It's a stepped shape controlling the 'SYNTH HARD SYNC").

Turning down the amount on Mod Envelope 1 gets rid of that pulsing effect.
(It's a 'sharkfin' envelope on the "FATBOY" cutoff filter)

There is still a slow "phasing" effect...
That is from LFO5 assigned to "Synth Symmetry".

I have all the mods turned down now and just the default "SawSquare Bright" sound, with some settings adjusted (shape, symmetry, hard sync, 'analog' , phase, and also a harmonium 'on'.

Hope that helps... it has helped me refamiliarize myself with Omnisphere as well

You are so excellent to share all this, thank you. Really grateful. When you say 'Click on the MODULATION "+" to see the MOD Matrix' you mean at the bottom right where it says ENVELOPES, then MODS, right? Thank you again.

Sorry, i meant on the upper left. That is where the Modulation matrix is with all the assignments.
It is good to click the "+" because you can see the actual motions back and forth of the modulations happening.
(The "+" throughout Omnisphere should be bigger)
In the matrix you can "MUTE" or turn down the "amount" that the modulators affect the sound.
You can go back to the bottom right and adjust the real "depth" setting down there on MODs 1 - 4.
You can turn down the actual settings at the bottom right.

NOTE: I was WRONG about the A,B,C,D vs 1,2,3,4
Make sure to Click on the "2" for Part "B" (on the right side, above the "TARGET PARAMETER").
    I do not know why they name them 1,2,3 & 4 instead of A,B,C & D.
Of course it is obvious :
A,B,C,D are for the parts in general ...
and the 1,2,3,4 are for the MODulators.

Anyway, using the Mod Matrix is a good way to quickly see what is affecting the sound.
The actual Mod envelope area on the right is the place to edit them.:
