Problem is Falcon > lots of menu diving and not very straightforward. Also you won't be learning how to use a synth with it. That said, go for it if it fits your workflow. In my case it didn't.

Well, a big attraction of Falcon many people stick to is the ROMpler stuff; but it also includes Wavetable, FM, etc Oscillator types. https://www.uvi.net/en/instruments/falcon.html#oscillators

I felt the same way about it for a few months; it feels all closed in and Reason rack-like. But I paid for it, and forced myself to learn it so I'd get my money worth of use. After really getting to know it; I would say it to be my "Deserted on Island" plugin, because you can do almost anything with it. It does not replace your full-featured synths like Serum or Diva for sound quality or options. The thing I like most about Falcon2 is how well it performs with all the content stored on an external HDD (not an expensive SSD). I can open seemingly endless number of instances with no lag and thats not even on a fast ssd. I'd more than happily give it a few hundred gb space on a drive if that was an option, but it is not for me. It's perfect for a laptop setup. The basic install with just the factory library is about 2gb.

Hello @clone, this is the world famous UVI engine, even the Spectrasonics - Atmosphere - the first one that became Omnisphere, has the UVI engine built in. The samples are loaded much faster and the quality is market leading.

@BEAT16 that is very interesting and honestly tips the balance for me, will definitely give it a go.

I'm not really looking for synths, unless theres something REALLY special in there, but more so the drum machines, maybe some FX creating stuff or anything else a little unique that other devs dont offer?

IMO Omnisphere and Falcon can't be included in a synth list. They ain't synths. Just endless soundbanks.
