    Hi guys

I'm new to S1 and just getting used to the basics.

I want to speed up a drum loop so it fits with a guitar loop. When I use the "transpose" or "speed" function it keeps the pitch the same (but sounds a bit crap after being processed by timestretch etc).

Is there anyway to switch this automatic pitch/ time correction effect off so it just pitches up along with speed? The only way I've found to do this is to put the drum loop in Sample One and pitch it that way. Just wondering if there is some hidden box that needs ticking/ unticking or Sample One is the right route for this?

thanks in advance for any tips/advice

    1) Use alt + draggin the end of the clip (to the right bar) technique. If you go from 80 bpm to 130 you'll ear timestratch, so be careful.
    2) You can use slice method (manually or by s1, serch on youtube) for drums and the quantize on track

I still don't understand exactly what doesn't work for you, but did you tried to insert in that loop the original "bpm" number after you right click it selecting "file tempo"? Try to guess the original bpm of the file (but don't insert the same bpm as your project, because the project will stretch automatically the loop to your project's tempo as long as you insert the original "file tempo" in that clip/loop.).
Anyway, Alt + Dragging the clip is the fastest solution (make sure you also have the "snap" activated on grid.) You can use the bend markers with transient detection too, but as i said, i didn't understood exactly what you couldn't achieve with that loop so i can't guess exactly which feature is more suitable for your needs. :mates:

thanks for the replies guys, I will give them a go.

Basically I want all pitch/ timestretch functions totally off. At the moment if I speed the loop up it keeps the pitch the same(which I dont want).
    cheers :mates:
