    Hi, how are you?
    Hope all is well.

    I really love this song.

I have a few questions, can you guys help me give your opinion please?

    1. Maybe an amp sim might not be able to match the sound of a real amp.
But is it possible to make guitar sounds like that with Amp Sim?

    2. If there is a 50/50 chance, is there an amp sim brand that is close to the guitar sound character in the video?

    3. In general, what guitar mixing process is most likely to achieve that sound? Because that guitar tone sounds luxurious and modern

    4. I'm using several virtual bass instruments, do you have any suggestions to make it sound like the video?

    5. I don't have a 8 string guitar or a 9 string guitar. Would using a new larger string size help on my 7 string guitar to achieve that sound?
I've tried it on my guitar and the top string size is 0.74, but it doesn't work. (Even though I actually don't want to be exactly the same as the reference, but the results are still unsatisfactory with 0.74 string size)

    6. I'm currently using the EMG-707 on my guitar. Are there any recommendations for pickups that are more optimal for heavy djenty like in the video?

    7. A few days ago I ordered several types of plectrums (picks). I bought Tortex Jazz III 0.88 mm, Tortex Jazz III FLEX 0.88 mm, Tortex Jazz III Petrucci 1.50 mm.
Is that enough? Or should I be looking for something more specific to typical djenty music?

    8. It may have taken me decades to save money to buy a Real Amp. But if there really is no way out of the amp sim and I have to buy a real amp, what is the closest suggestion from the video reference?

Many thanks for the advice, time and attention.
    Have a great day

this is actually a generic mix, 2d no depth and guitars are so smooth it's dead in the background over processed mix.

    1. Yes even Better and almost indistinguishable from real guitars, given that things don't go wrong, from the bottom up (Guitars, pickups, good Audio interface/DI Box)
    2. Yes, many acutally.
    3. Good IRs.
    4. Darkglass Ultra from Neural DSP is one of many.
    5. That might help but more importantly low tuning.
    6. Those are more than enough, it just require some eq before reamping or check Fishman pickups.
    7. thats your pref
    8. Nowadays you do not need real amps, unless you "want" one.

Its the bass that is making the low end full and cohesive. And on top of that, many modern metal musicians use the octave pedal from axe fx and have a layer one octave lower than their tuning. Also transient shapers to give it a fast attack. I have seen this in some periphery documentary, the guys who essentially made this sound popular.
You could use djinnbass, and parallax by neural dsp to multiband–process the bass, and blend it well with the guitars.
If you can play the part in the right tuning, then mixing is all you need to learn.

    Thanks for answering.

I'm using the Audient iD4 MKII audio interface.
And I have Samson MDA1 DI Box.
Can I combine that two? Or is it better to just use the audio interface without the DI Box?

Have you ever tried NDSP Gojira? Does it work? I've tried it and haven't been able to find a suitable setup for djenty stuff.

Is OwnHammer Heavy Hitter 1 or 2 enough?

    Thanks for the advice.
Any suggestions for Bass Virtual Instrument?

I've used drop G#. Looks like I have to lower the drop again.

Do you also do compression besides doing EQ before Amp Sim?

    Thanks for the advice

Do you have any VST suggestions that are similar?
I saw on NDSP Gojira there is Octaver. Is that enough?

Do you have any suggestions for a suitable Transient Shaper? Previously I used SPL Transient.

Yup, I like Periphery drums, bass, and guitar tone (and of course their vocals too).
I even found them using a Dunlop Jazz III Tortex 0.88 mm plectrum (picks). So next time I try to follow it.

    I use this.
Any suggestions how to process/blend it with guitar?

I sent a message for you.
Many thanks for advices btw
