I've just checked it out. Sick. The Netherblade is created by an innovator Eric Netherland.

    Features:
    - multiple colors
    - Keyboard and Fretboard display
    - software: macOS + Gig Performer
    - independent vibrato per key

    Brockett Parsons' jam: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/hx_7DLIU0o4

    A very cool instrument.

Eric is also a member of the PianoArc team. I think that it costed $45000 but I see now that they removed the price.
I have no clue about the Netherblade.

Actually, Eric is using Windows + Gig Performer, not macOS --- he has a tiny Windows computer inside the Netherblade.

The Netherblade instrument is assembled by hand (in LA) so the price can fluctuate based on customizations such as exterior finish, CPU speed, memory, strap, etc. Typical price range is $2495.00 - $2795.00

Yup - you've found me out:) BTW: I often demo the Netherblade as a MIDI controller to a Mac running GigPerformer. But yes, internally it is Windows compatible so you can optionally run plugins without an external synth.

Thank you for your kind words and all the comments. Much appreciated. I’ll be exhibiting at NAMM 2023 in April if anyone is interested in trying it out.

    Cool instrument.

Reminds me of the Linstrument & Seaboard, an other very cool controller.

It seems we are on the cusp for a real evolution of clavier type instruments really removing a lot their limitations.

I don't think that is the aim, you could buy a few nice pianos for what these controllers cost. It's more about being able to interact with a keyboard (not a piano) like you do with a cello or a guitar. There are limitations to the organic expressiveness of all clavier based instruments and fretted instruments as well to some extent.

I doubt you get much interest in something like that unless you already can handle yourself around a keyboard to begin with.
