@DonCaballero you probably don't know how to install this software, it works and doesn't need any ilok or emulator

 

I do . Though, since Alloy was primarily designed as channel strip and Ozone as mastering plugin (strangely enough with Reverb!), they weren't rivals actually; rather, both have complemented each other. Btw, the successor to Alloy is Neutron.

I've been installing Ozone cracks since v1.
I know it works since it installs fine on my laptop, but for whatever reason this version and the r2r emu version come up as demo. I have versions 5,7,8,9 and 10 installed so it's not hard to imagine a conflict somewhere between different iZotope cracks and hundreds of other ones.

It's something specific with this computer as a few other cracks won't work with it either. Not a huge deal, just annoying since I know I'm following the instructions correctly. I'll attempt again the next time I open a project with a lot of Ozone 5 instances.

Thanks again for it since the next time I do a dreaded fresh install of everything I prefer a non-emu version.

Old plugins look so much cooler than today's. I feel that the companies are investing more time on a pretty UI than the usability itself. That's why i like voxengo and melda, things are modern and good sounding but with no shiny knobs all the way around (or one single knob that generates green sparkles in the background...)

 

it's all about pretty colours & the GUI appearance today! thats why me personally thinks VST3 causes problems! its about how it performs!
with zero latency no fancy shit.

 

All the working class wishes are zero latency + engageable oversampling with simple GUI but powerful sound. I have some hope for more companies like that appearing because this whole buisiness is becaming so snake oilish that you should think ten or more times before buying something. Especially with so much free stuff that sounds and performs well (sometimes better than the paid and expensive ones i downloaded at the sister site)
