Kidding me? I was always checking Vanuatu whenever i had to give my address and i wanted to add a fake one. It was just to the bottom of the list and easy to remember if i was being asked in the future. Never thought that you had such a situation there.Never searched to learn more on your country.

But not to be off topic, usually all those sites claim that they don't have videos uploaded without the user's consent. So in order to prove that, they usually have links to report a video so it can be taken down.

 

sorry to hear that. unfortunate situation honestly that i'm sure could've been avoided in the first place.
what i would do:
- focus on the CP thing. report to all major child protection organizations. they usually have good budget and time to fight this kind of stuff. but you have to prove somehow that the individuals in the videos on this site are underaged.
- second. if this doesn't work or you don't have proofs of it, you could go a different route. like hiring specific knowledgeable individual to manually take down the site. but you're in the wrong forum place to ask for that kind of stuff. try HF or BF. and honestly it might cost you some money, depending on what works and what doesn't.
- third. don't think even for a second that the owner of this specific website doesn't have backups. if it's on the internet now, it's probably going to be here forever. he is just going to upload everything back up and create a new website as soon as this one is taken down. nothing can be done about it unless you manage to sue him. but it can be a bit hard if it's in a sketchy country that doesn't give a f about that kind of stuff. just be careful in the future and refer a good therapist to your friend. I'm sure it would help more than nothing

 

I hope she understands that she has nothing to be ashamed of. A loved one broke her trust in a malicious way. Her society might not tell her that, but her society is the thing that needs to change, not her.

The safety concerns are very troubling though. Even if she manages to stay strong and believe in herself and her actions, she will still have people making things hard for her. This really sucks. I can't even recommend leaning into the situation and outwardly showing pride and confidence-- that kind of behavior could bring real trouble.

So she has to act meek, humiliated and ashamed, all while maintaining an interior of integrity and belief in herself. That's very hard. I hope you guys find a way to just nuke the pictures. Best of luck

 

Simplest solution to avoid these issues raise your children properly to never under any circumstances get photographed or filmed in any type of compromising or suggestive poses ever for anyone.

Ok, and how do you know that country wont do anything about a legal request?

Do you just assume so?
Or have actually made a proper action of some sort

 

Are the servers actually hosted in Vanuatu or are they just using a Vanuatu domain name? It seems kind of unlikely that they'd host the servers there, because they've got a very fragile internet infrastructure. A relatively small DDOS recently knocked the whole country off the internet for a week.

But if the ISP doesn't care about hosting dubious material like this, you can go upstream. They'll have peering arrangements with other providers who won't want to be carrying this kind of material. Find out who's hosting the servers and if they don't respond, go after their peering arrangements. One whiff of the kind of publicity that this will attract and they'll drop them like a hot brick.

 

i think if the situation is that bad, the only solution would be leaving the town or country.

 

Of course it is. Just like in the other 99% of the revenge porn cases.
It could be a very good thing to not "forget" this guy, I mean to sue him in court of course.

 

Easier said than done. Nowadays you can already spot 5 years old kids with a smartphone among other things...

 

Even if you successfully remove the video from this site, your friend might be wise to consider leaving this country: the arm is already done and if people are that primitive, they simply won't let it go and your friend will have a hell of a life there.
And of course, all this will mean that the person who put the video online in the first place, finally won. You can't let that happen.

 

^^ damn, it's such an extreme thing to do-- to give up the life you know all because of some pictures. So these revenge porn websites include the victim's names and personal info? If yes, and if these things are accessible from Google, then it might kinda follow her no matter where she goes. But for safety and peace of mind, finding somewhere with much more liberal attitudes about sex would be in her best interest. God, it's so crazy. She feels like she has to flee because some photographs existed and her ex is a monster. It's so unfair.

 

Whoever found the friends pictures/videos has a porn addiction problem.

Please tell your friend that ending her life won't make the content get deleted.

Remind friend, that only her friends with a Porn addiction problem will come across her video, so nothing to worry about.

 

You could:

• Wait for an ISP to take down the site - you will be waiting a long time.
• Ask the site to remove content - Not really in their best interest
  
• Law enforcement - Zero chance, justisdiction boundaries make this almost impossible

The only viable option isn't exactly legal. If you know someone (or can find someone) who can find security vulnerabilities on the site and exploit them then this may be a possibility

I've come to the same conclusion, i just don't know who to turn to but i'm willing to go that road.
At this point, all that matters is to take that website down.

If anybody reading this can help, it'd be really appreciated

 

I've actually been in contact with the local police.

 

I'm not a tech savvy guy, but it seems the whole site needs to be ddos attacked hard until it no longer functions.

 

I heard some talk about sites that host DDos services to test sites (THAT YOU OWN) their resistance to that same kind Ddos attacks....

This guy Ddossed the whole government tax sites, for 50 euro with 100gbps of traffic with a service called "IPstresser".

Keep in mind that DDosing is illegal in most countrys

This or weight the consequences, revenge porn gets boring when everybody including your aunt has one online...
it's 2022 and everybody got a pocket camera tempting in their pocket.
