3D Plugs

    I've been wondering for some time why plugins aren't made in full 3D
    such a 3d so that I could rotate it and see the sides, back, up, down
    and in order to be able to open the top panel and see what's inside, it's already doing a few plugins.
    so many plugins look great these days it's begging to be in full 3d
    today's computers have powerful processors and graphics cards, it's 2022, the graphics card is bored.
    Of course, there should be an option during the installation whether you want to install the plugin as we currently have if you have a weaker computer or the plugin in full 3d if you have a more powerful computer.
    Do you think we'll ever see it? and maybe you know why there is no chance or you know what is the problem?
    I guess it would cost more money and work but instead of creating another 500th compressor and wasting money on it maybe they should go for it.
    I am waiting for your opinions and thoughts.

    It would be a lot of extra work for the devs, for literally no actual extra functionality. Even if there would be an option to not install the full 3D GUIs, everyone buying the product would have to pay for that extra work.

    It would lead to a huge CPU/GPU consumption which is way better used for the sound processing.

    A simple as this.

    maybe someday someone will take a risk and be the first to introduce it, I think it would have to be a careful emulation of some instrument or compressor, I mean Arturia instruments or a compressor, e.g. Softube Germanium comp.
    One thing is certain, if such a plug-in turned out to be a success, then surely everyone in the industry would follow the same path.
    In my opinion, it's time for some progress... the only question is whether someone will decide to do it and who will be the first.
    I don't think it's the processor, just the graphics card.
    Current graphics cards are very powerful... think about what games look like.
    I think it would be possible to fire many plugins at once before we reach the limit, but maybe I don't know and maybe I'm talking nonsense.

    I've done a bit of very basic 3d modelling in the past and let me tell you, regular graphics cards don't like it. What you see in stuff like videogames usually has some sort of clever optimization process behind it (which would probably involve third party stuff). So consider all the work that would go in creating the models, textures, optimization so it runs smoothly AND in real time AND without consuming all resources on 5 instances on your target demographic's average computer AND add an extra option on the setup so the user can just omit all that...That's a lot.

    Also, contrary to videogames or other markets where 3D is super relevant, how much time do you actually spend looking at a plugin's interface?

    They should take it even one step further.
    They should make it outside the box so you could hold it in your hands and really turn it over and look inside and set it on your desk and....
