Hi all( hope this is the right forum for this)

I use arpeggios in various VSTs ( zebra etc) and in Cthulhu etc,
but I notice that when you change the note, the rhythm of the arp changes abruptly( e.g. not a smooth transition). I know you can play around with the note length( the note represents one arp sequence), but it's laborious.
Is there a simpler way to make smooth transitions between changes.
I've looked on YouTube and can't find anything for this( likely I'm asking the wrong question or search terms)

    thanks

You may want to specify what plugins you intend to do it with, but my guess is that the subject you generally want to check out is Retriggering or Latch . Retriggering just causes the Arpeggiator pattern to restart, or not; at each Midi Note On event (key press). Or you have something else modulating based on frequency, check the mod wheel position when it does this again. Does your pitchbend do the same effect? The pitch should change without altering the arpeggiation. You could even just perceive the effect, but if you bounce it will loop at the same original bpm.

this is 130 bpm with the pitchbend changing only pitch:

My money would be you're referring to Cthulhu, but as @clone says we need more concrete information.
Like what note and what arp sequences change.

    hi
    Cthulhu is what predominantly use
and retriggering was perhaps the term i was looking for
so.. when i change note( eg pitch) yes it retriggers, however i would rather it continued without restarting otherwise the rhythm will "judder"( out of sync) . if not then to do a smooth transition , maybe similar to splicing a sample loop to repeat.
I hope that explains it better !
    thanks

Just drag the midi (arp patterns you like) out from Cthulu and edit them together from there. You'll save more time and have more control.

You could render out the arp patterns for each note and then just cut and paste them together. That way you can start every pattern at whatever note you want.

Does Cthulhu support drag & drop? or you mean record the midi out
