Now seriously, I want to try a few of these plugins. I've heard good things about them. Perhaps I backed down when I saw the "Slate" versions. Since, you know, Steven Slate is the devil himself. With botox.

The only involvement of Slate Digital is presets on 2 of the plugins, nothing more than that.

 

I like Slate products. I like the plugins and hardware, too. We can say whatever we want about SS but his products are pretty good. Another thing, dealing with Slate's customer support has been a pleasing experience. I am talking about exchanging hardware without first being interrogated, and fast turn around. Nothing bad to say about Slate Digital or Steven Slate Audio at my end.

Which plugins do you want to try?
They have a free "starter" pack with a bunch of good effects.
And of course, there's sister site complete version.

I use the synthesiser (and these effects inside of it) and honestly, it's one of the best synth you can get actually.
The only thing they miss are resynthesis and granular oscillators.
And given its complexity, it's relatively light on CPU.

 

...and an arpeggiator/sequencer. People seem to ask for that I've noticed.

 

Yes, I agree with this. It's ridiculous that in 2022 we have to program LFO to pitch to get some kind of "arpeggiator".

 

Precisely the synth (PhasePlant?) is one of the plugs I wanna try. Heard very good things since a while now. Also, as commented, at least some effects seem good.
And important, low on CPU for my slow PC.
