hello there people!!well i just bought Amplitube 5 because there is a great deal from IK Multimedia and with my IK points i paid around $75 for Amplitube 5 Max but after installing Amplitube and
as soon i open the Amplitube app it crash,when the app is NOT authorized it opens just fine but as soon as I authorize it it crashed,

 

Ik multimedia doesn't work natively on M1 it must be run via rosetta and possibly not supported on Ventura yet

 

Because I'm often stoned, drunk, or both, I make a point of knowing exactly what will work on my humble system before I buy it so I don't feel stupid later.

Exactly the same happened to me, I have an M1 Pro macbook 14 inch and purchased Amplitube 5 a few days ago. I am currently interchanging several messages with Ik Multimedia´s support, I tried lots of things and sent them the crashes. The last thing they told me is that if I was using iCloud, to try taking Amplitube from there, the pplications folder is not synced with iCloud, the documents folder is synced with iCloud and inside that folder there is an Ik Multimedia folder. The problem with disabling sync with iCloud is that I would lose lots of important data in my macbook that I use I tried several things, installing and authorizing Amplitube offline but without disabling iCloud sync and the problem remains the same, without authorization it works perfectly, when authorizing it crashes. I don´t think iCloud has anything to do with the problem.

Moreover, I created a new user in my macbook, installed Amplitube there and it worked perfectly after authorizing it, the problem is that I need to user Amplitube with my user, where I have all my plugins and softwares installed.

One question, have you tried to authorize Amplitube with a keygen before? I tried it and maybe that´s the problem, there may be a cache that´s making trouble with the authentic serial number.

 

yes i was using amplitube with a keygen before,but already deleted all amplitube files from my system,i was thinking the same that maybe i have that amplitube crash because i used a keygen,tomorrow i will try to install amplitube on mac studio that is on my office.,or maybe like the other user said Amplitube possibly not supported on Ventura yet

also i dont want to install Amplitube on more mac because im running out of Amplitube authorizations

 

I use Mac Monterey, and with the new user that I created in my macbook, the authorization worked just fine. You could try to create a new user in System Preferences - Users & Groups and try to authorize it there. It´s preety fast to do, and after testing, that user can be deleted. Then you could tell if the problem is Ventura, I don´t think so. I´ve already deleted Amplitube 5 and manually deleted the files, also deleted it with Clean My Mac X, but I suspect that there may be some file in some cache that is not reachable on the finder, what generates the conflict.

 

i was using the TRAZOR version and was working fine without rosetta

Ventura is the fkn devil. I hate it, so far. I would not upgrade to it yet.

I'd get rid of the Amplitube you have installed already. Clean up. manually. And then try and install your legit product again. Or revert to a Time Capsule created before you installed one/either/both.

I would also look and see if the version you had working previously works correctly still. Maybe it Timebombed. And then you certainly will find some excess scrap object file which has been blocked in the new legit installer or running application itself. The k is usually what they will fix, very first top priority style. You might just have to delete a plist.

I haven't used this since V1, and have little intent on ever using it. It's just how I might logically approach your problem. This should be a relatively easy fix, all OS compatibility issues aside of course. Or I would just experiment with the other (and imo better) disto/amp sim things you might have already.

Ok, your mac studio has OS Ventura? if not, and if you´re not sure if Ventura is the problem, you can temporarily create a user on your macbook to check. I don´t think the OS is the problem.

 

You could try this. Click on Finder Icon > select the Go tab in top-menu bar and click on Go to Folder… option, type:
~/Library/Preferences/
and press enter then delete the file com.ikmultimedia.Amplitube 5.plist (I don't remember the exact name) That should solve your problem

well man i just reinstalled mac os ventura,i didnt have too many apps and files so really not a problem reinstalling mac ventura,and guess what man?Amplitube 5 is working now https://postimg.cc/8F1Z6Txs

so maybe it was the keygen that was making amplitube crash

 

I´ve just tried that, it didn´t work for me, same thing. Thanks for the info.

 

Oh great, I supposed the OS was not the issue, I´m almost sure it has to be with the keygen. I´d be glad to say that I could format my macbook, but I have lots of softwares installed, so I´ll just have to spot the right file to delete, similar to what the user Psyevil proposed.

 

well not all is perfect,i installed Tonex from R2R and is not working with Amplitube this was the reason i bought Amplitube 5 to use it with Tonex,but everytime when i click on Tonex i get a pop up window that "say be sure to register Tonex"
also i have only 1051 models on the tonex cloud maybe i guess is because i dont have all the Tonex amps unlock

edit: using the Tonex amp inside amplitube works perfect

I couldn´t make Amplitube 5.5.2 to work in my mac yet, I wanted to make you a question, do you use iCloud in your macbook? in that case do you have the documents folder synced with iCloud on your macbook?
