Tried to google about this but didn't find a good answer. I'm sure it's something really simple that will make me look stupid, but right now I'm just so annoyed by this that I want a fast solution.

I'm on MAC working on a project in Live 8.4.1. What I wanna do is move clips (small adjustments) in arrangement view with some key on the keyboard instead of having to drag them with the mouse. Natural way should be the arrows. But if I highlight a clip and press any combination with the arrows the only thing that happen is that the marker moves. The clip lose the highlight and stays exactly where it was.
So what counterintuitive way did Ableton apply for this?

So I wasn't the stupid one, but rather Ableton for not including such a simple and useful feature.
Wishing now I had started this project in Logic instead. Oh well, back to stiff little fingers on the mouse then :blues:

The main reason is probably Live philosophy with session (clip view)/arrangement view and it's synhronisation...

I'm starting to like Live a lot, that's why I did this project in it, thought it would be a great way to learn it really good.
But as it turned out I now have like 100 small clips that I'm moving around ever so slightly to get the right groove.

I don't see how this simple keyboard function would conflict with session, it should have been pretty easy to implement.
For me it's just one of the most basic things I would think of when it comes to arranging, to make it as smooth as possible to move the parts around.

But I guess it's like I've seen many other guys comment already, you'll never get a single DAW that does everything you want :snuffy:
