Well, they're feature reduced versions, not 'trial' versions as such.
No inserted noises, time limits, annoying popup reminders or anything like that.

I use ZebraCM and LitoteCM sometimes.

The "Plugin Suite" download packs will be 99% demos. Just a collection of demos. Only specific ones have any of those special full versions. And I don't see any old the old freebies here, only the new ones?

Edit: Actually it doesn't seem that way, the big zip files contain an archive of past plugins it seems. Cool! But I do remember Computer Music Magazine sometimes had trials.

Lots of future music editions with samples. Cross referencing them to scene releases doesn't look so simple. That would be a good new function for XO.

Most of them are no demos but stripped down versions.
Thorn CM for example has an OSC less than its paid equivalent while Thorn from the Beat magazine has 3 OSC's but is mono. Zebra CM is an independent instrument (in my opinion), which is based on Zebra but else is quite different. Then there are outdated versions of some plugins that aren't developed anymore so you get them as free CM edition and in other cases some knobs are disabled so the plugin itself is more like a preset player but without time restrictions or noises.

If you don't want to spend too much money but you want to stay legit, these plugins are clearly worth a try.

And I mean there are also some other nice contents if you do graphic design for example. The Advanced Photoshop
magazine has a lot of paid fonts and Ps assets you can download for free.

You could use tools like WinMerge or DoubleKiller to scan the folders for duplicates and I bet there are also tools to identify duplicated audio material if the file hashes are different but the content is the same.

I agree. These kind of versions are no joke. Not always of course. For instance, I used the official free Zebra Lite (Zebralette I think is called) but it forced you to install the full Zebra 2 Trial. That's a pain.
The Zebra CM is way less light on disk, no Zebra 2 full trial forced. And I think it has a couple more features than Zebralette.

PS. Oops, @r4e beat me to it. Someone give me back those wasted 5 min of my life

    I've tried.
Downloaded all the files from the last issue.
    Then installed U-He Bazille CM.
No problem. All works perfect, without asking for anything.
And... Wow! 80 plugins! And lots of tutorial files, tutorial videos, tips for production, for mixing, for mastering, for sound design, etc.
    :thanks:

All the CM versions of plugins are not jokes at all. They are reduced versions of the official versions, indeed, but they are excellent plugins, not simply "players" (except very few on them among the 80 plugins of the collection). And offered as gifts. Not at all products on which we may spit on.

Ye, I've also collected the old CM plugins over the time but most of them are 32Bit only.
The time will come when I share them along a bunch of other free plugins in 1 installer. Collected about 20GB of free plugins
and patched/regged those who require authorization to make the freeware completely free ;)
