Just out of curiosity, did anyone ever figure out how to load their own SFZ files into Roli Equator 1 from an external drive?

They explain it in an earlier version of the manual:

And it works fine, but you have to keep them on your internal drive in a specific folder. I would use the function/Equator 1 a lot more if I could load stuff externally since my internal drive is relatively small.

As it stands, I typically use Beat Zampler for SFZ, which works pretty good, but I'd prefer to use Equator since it has a variety of other functions/etc . . .

I've tried doing normal symlinks and it failed to work for some reason.

I know, a long time ago, Linux had a way to link stuff so software was completely unable to tell the difference, maybe there's a way to do that with Windows 10 I've failed to find?

 

If indeed it IS possible then you'll need to make the changes in the registry.

If you have Revo Installer. Install the software again making Revo record every change it makes. Then you can review the registry changes (Look for links that default to a certain point on your disc) and edit it accordingly.

That would be how I'd try it.

 

Do you know if the free version will do that, or do I have to get the paid one?

I cant guarantee it will work, just that is how I would go about it to try and get it to work.. As for free vs paid.. I have only used the paid version.

 

Nothing to loose if it doesn't . . . Plus the software actually looks useful, I'm constantly "uninstalling" stuff and finding old files from it laying around.
