Hello all!

Here's my problem: I can't seem to get FL 11.04 to record pitch bend data.

You can hear the bends as it's recording midi, but once it's recorded there is no bends on the playback.
I can get the pitch bend to work in FL on whatever plugin I'm using as it's playing, I just assign a port # to my midi input,then when I open a vsti I click the gear and pick the same port # in input.
But was half way in the middle of a project,recorded a sweet solo,but it didn't record the pitch bends.

Anyone know a way that works?
I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.I figured you could record automation somehow,or thru the midi out plugin or thru patcher or something,but can't seem to find a combination or setting that works.
I remembered this was much easier in older versions of FL.I could draw them in but that's tedious & I can play it much better if it'd record it.

i think there is a setting called record as event which i think you are talking about:

make sure that option at the top of that page is selected and make sure you set record everything. There is then a way to convert the event into an automation clip should you want to. Obviously you will need to link the pitch pend controller in whatever VST you have selected first, and make sure that is selected in the step sequencer tab before you record

 

Thank you for your reply,I will give that a shot.After I made this post I tried the FL 10 that I still have installed and it works perfect,so I can always do it like that if I absolutely have to,could even save midi's or scores and import

 

With FL Studio updating is always... Questionable. Personally I'm still using FL Studio 10 for the workhorse, because I've found little problems like that too. All I can really say is wait to see what updates to 11 are like when they release some updates. Untill then there isn't much 11 has that makes it worth using over 10.
