There are several types of iLok protection. Do the research first before calling on nonsense.

Refence to iLok 3 is additional added layers of protection custom made by PACE for specific developers. Not every developer is using it, but that's the reason why we haven't seen some of iLok protected stuff on sister site yet.

And there was extensive discussion on UAD forums right upon SPARK launch. UA's spokesman clearly stated they are going with iLok3 protection

well, i don't think ilok 3 is that old right?? so i guess that universal audio should have been coding the emulator for 3 years at least (to make it stable and all)... so i guess it has ilok 2

iLok 3 was releasesd soon after R2R took a crack on PA/Neural DSP and they cracked it too, point is R2R did mention iLok2/3 in their NFO

 

That is correct. It was exactly like that, I just can't remember which release contained NFO with that statement. Added point is - we can just hope R2R or some other group will have the skills and good will to break it further.

Specialy for conspiracy therapists, fortunetellers and other layman:

ILOK2 is no different from ILOK3 in terms of the defense applied. All the same thing is just the amount of memory for storing licenses.

ILOK2 used microcontroller - AT91SC192192CT
192192 - This is the amount of memory in kilobytes
192Kb for programs, and 192Kb for content (licenses)

ILOK3 has the same controller but not 192Kb memory, but three times more.

Crackers, sales managers, advertisers write what is more clear to a simple layman - iLok2, 3.
Because it is too long and incomprehensible to describe the layman with an open mouth and bulging eyes of all used protection WRAPWARDEN, METAFORTRESS, FUSION, EDEN …

could be done something similar to what people did with the wii console?? the bridged the pins from part of the memory that was unavailable (when the console goes into gamecube mode), got the dumped of this on a computer and through reverse engineering got the entire system hacked

(that is the short version of what i know)

could they get that method to work here?? cause i guess that 1 or 2 memory banks have to be for the extra layers of security applied

 

I tried and honestly, I don't think it is worth it. Maybe If that were like years ago. But nowadays? Nah.There's plenty of emulation out there just as good as UAD and for a better price, plus all the loading with spark, logging etc.

 

i guess, there is no reason to crack it now, lets wait when we will get every plugin in Spark collection
who knows, maybe r2r already cracked it

maybe if they will release it now it will affect next releases in a bad way

While you keep on taking this personally and disagreeing with everything that does not share and go along with your ideas, i have nothing against you... The talk here is not hardware side, it's software side, iLok do have versions and while those aren't public they are there and they are internal to the iLok software engineers, same goes with many protections that only R2R were able to shed some light on...

And for the last time, R2R did share this and i'm not making this up...

someone could look up the NFOs and share the info, (could be looked up on sister site using "NFO-R2R")

Have no fear sisters and brothers, Rhianna is throwing big money at this problem over to R2R's way and has given us an early preview of her crack. If there is a will there's a way.

 

I repeat again,
Software one and the same for iLok2 & iLok3.
Furthermore, firmware inside iLok2 & iLok3 the same, only with adjustment for volume, and different crypto-key for each dongles.

Do not forget that initially it was about iLok3, as if this is some new, completely different protection. Once again, I repeat the same protection as in iLok2.
