i want to lower some peaks manually

i currently split both sides of the peak..making sure that i split at the point where the waveform is crossing the line so no clicks introduced

and then i lower the waveform

is there any vst that does this but faster but i need to select manually which peaks.

i'm not talking about a compressor or limitor in this case

i need something more manual, i.e to have more control which peaks will be lowered etc

I can think of a few, but what's exactly the problem with these peaks? Are they unusually loud or you just pick them out from the bunch?

If they're too loud, some daws have tools to separate transients that go over a specific level, that might help. Otherwise i don't think there's a software that can "guess" which peaks interest you.

 

its not to guess, its just to do what i described but more faster. Yes they are more loud i'll try see about the transients tool that might help thanks!

 

volume automation can be an option indeed

i'll check trim volume automation cause i didn't know its there

volume pre-fx seems nice also as u can see the changes happening on the waveform!
