I believe it is one of the most successful console plugin emulation created to date. The sound is extremely convincing. Too bad it is subscription only at the moment, it is really a pity.

 

I brought the ssl uc1 last month and the new 4K b plug is a free update for ssl uc1 owners . The site was down yesterday but I was able to get my license this morning . Also the channel strip v2 has had an update and bus compressor . The updates on the download page are different to the available downloads on the uc1 page . Haven’t had a chance to try it yet I’ll let you know how it sounds

 

Excellent plugin! As expected, SSL are adding new features and plugins for UC-1 & UF-8 via updated software & firmware.

My only gripe is that you can only get the new plugin through their subscription service. Hopefully this will change. Rather own than rent...

Interesting! Having worked on the real SSL 4000G, this looks fun. The transformers are just yummy on the real console.

 

If as good as the native channel strip 2 ssl then this will be big.

Finally SSL vst plugin with Panning and Width!
I am blind or mixing plugins are castrated from Panning?
This is the first time that I see Panning and Width knobs.
Hardware Mixing Consoles have Panning knobs. So why plugins doesn't have them?
Do you know more mixing channel strip plugins with Panning and Width knobs?

Why's that? $180 for a year getting all their plugins AND this new console emulation, doesn't seem like a bad deal, seems like people just wanna bitch... Surprised I dont see any ilok haters in here, people cut from the same irrational cloth

 

oh darn... those damn subscriptions. How dare companies make it easier to experience thousands of dollars of full plugins for as much as your shitty netflix and hulu subscriptions... (heres a hint, use the internet and you dont have to pay for shitty tv shows and shitty movies)

 

Your point of view would suggest that either you work for SSL or, you are just clueless!

The option to use their plugins via subscription was just that, an option until now. Forced subscriptions should never be tolerated or rewarded.

This reminds me of UAD forcing credit card info and a charge for PayPal to DEMO their plugins.

For someone that only needs or wants to use a suite of plugins for a fixed period of time would definitely benefit from a fairly priced subscription.
