Hi Dudes,
Is there a way to change the shape to be specific the edges of the media items from sharp or pointed edges
to something like rounded where u can tell the difference between clips/items. Like logic or Bitwig




And finally while we are at it,is there a way to change the background color of media item label. the one behind the letters.

To 1.: In Reaper all kinds of 'parts' in the project window are called Items, therefore they have all the same shape, but I don't know if someone has made a special SWS for this.

To 2.: You could experiment with these two settings but there's no extra colour for labels above an item (unless someone has made ...)

 

it's part of theme, you can download and use another and adjust colours yourself

 

sometimes it gets a bit annoying to spot out the items... Thanks thou.

i tried a different theme, i had only a few, i tried this one here https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/2115/INQUASAR DARK MATTER v.1.0.ReaperThemeZip
It had rounded edges. think it has got to do with theme
I have a slightly altered Default 6 theme

Yes, but it's still the same for all items (parts/clips), no matter their content.

Audio (single samples, recording), MIDI (maybe even video thumbnails, haven't tried).

 

its not about content (even though i dont use video), its just about the edges of the items audio or midi. With rounded edges like in logic or bitwig i can differentiate between two clips easily from a distance, but the one i have now, i just have to dive into the monitor

 

Ah, that's what you're talking about. I thought you wanted different shapes for different content. Then @tzzsmk's answer is the best.
