one more eq search type question - that identifies resonant peaks on its own

    The questions are too frequently lacking enough details to not end up with some "tangental learning". Reading his question again, and your suggestion of NS; I am wondering if the ending "best practice" answer will actually be a de-esser.

    Then there is the plugin that the Snake Oil guy reviewed called Reso.

    i checked noise suppresors and desssers but they give u less detailed control i prefer some of the eq suggestions mentioned, that will do for now

    i'll do check the reso above to see if its also helpful

    If you use Reaper, you could also just use Spectral Edit.

    In audio editors like Audacity, Izotope RX, etc, there are similar - usually even better - equivalents.

    EQ mode = affects all frequencies you touch, like a EQ. Compress = affects frequencies, only when threshold is hit, like a compressor.
