Superior Drummer 3 - App won't see the core library

    Greetings.

    M1 MacBook Air - latest macOS Monterey

    I've installed the Superior Drummer 3.3.1 and it opens just fine but the app won't see the core library no matter what I try. The library I own is 38GB core library.

    Do you know how to fix this?

    I can provide additional needed information.

    Watched the exact video but when I locate the core library folder, the app says
    "Invalid library"
    "Please change or remove your path"

    That's why I'm asking for help. Thank you still!

    Which version do you have installed? Please specify the exact version. What sound library do you have installed? V.R Team?
    Examples: Toontrack Superior Drummer v3.3.3 CE Update macOS-V.R
    Toontrack Superior Drummer 3 SDX Core Basic Sound Library WiN/OSX - WiN/OSX | 32.62 GB

    Place the folder called "SL-SuperiorDrummer3_SDX_Part1" anywhere you want (you can place it on a external drive or whatever), then start Superior Drummer 3 in your DAW or the standalone version. Click on the "Add library path", go to where you placed the SL-SuperiorDrummer3_SDX_Part1 folder and inside of it there is a folder called just "SL-SuperiorDrummer3", select that folder. Superior Drummer should recognize the library so you can start using it.

    Sometimes you can get that error when your download is not 100% finished.

    Well, at first I've installed the Superior Drummer 3.3.1 and the library would not work. Then I downloaded the SD3 - v3.3.3 CE and installed it. After that I was able to show the library to the SD3. So now only the stand alone app works with the library and here's my new problem:

    There exist all the plug-in files (sd3.vst, sd3.vst3, sd3.component etc. in the respective plug-in folder locations) but even though I codesigned them, Logic (10.7.4, latest version) won't show Superior Drummer 3 as a plug-in. The plug-in manager shows the SD3 succesfully validated so it sees it but it's not listed in plugin list. I've tried multiple times resetting and re-scanning plugins, when scanning it shows Superior Drummer 3, but after finishing without any errors, I can't see the SD3 plugin as listed. So only the standalone app works now.

    How can I fix this?

    PlugIn Manager in Logic
    - Look there, whether the Superior Drummer is displayed!
    - Then make a check mark at the empty box...

    Already checked it. It says succesfully validated and use box is checked. Still no show on plugins menu.

    First I think you should also Codesign the entire folder you installed your libraries to. If you only want to use SD inside Logic, I would also remove the VST copies and leave only the .component for SD. At least Codesign the other copies as well.

    This just forces Logic AUValtool to let it be "visible" to the plugin manager. Also, when you check a Box in the Logic plugin manager, it will let you check the box either way. Check the box, do a few things like save a file with Logic open. Close Logic and reopen it. Then look in the plugin manager and see if the plugin is still Checked in that box. (it will uncheck newly found bad things). If it rejects it again, reboot may help.

    If it is still rejected by Logic, it is either installed improperly or you are using a bad release. Which one are you using, from VR or Trazor? There should be newer releases available to you than 3.3.1 if you look again. ;]

    Drag and drop, and it will rule out any typographical errors someone can make in Terminal doing it manually. Deep sign all of it.

    Well, I did everything you said and nothing worked.

    Then I wondered what if I select software instruments menu and it was there...
