You can't have Aquarius (or any legit Acustica stuff) installed while using cracked Acustica software. Use one or the other, but not both.

LOL. Just place your non-legit stuff far away from Aquaris search folder (zip/rar all files with password while use AA manager), or even better - uninstall DAFUQ out of your system this piece of software junk, folks.

 

nah nebula is great. use the sister site version and buy third party dev stuff. will the weirdo might have been right but acustica is embarrassingly bad at business.

Bad at business AND client/user relation.

I know this plugin since day one, with all the horrible endless tweaking AND Acustica pretending to be "in development" ... but still charging you for being a beta tester, years after years

Frankly, the sound is nice, probably best in class for saturation.
But the global hassle ... no way.

Nebula is probably going to be abandoned soon, to thanks ppl being beta testers for years.
Enough to create Acqua plugins and let the old school first adopters in the dust

 

I emailed them a question, which is its own challenge without having an account, and said "I've read the FAQ and it says blah blah blah but I need to know X,Y,Z which it doesn't cover" and they replied to read the FAQ. that level of customer service for a 500 dollar piece of software.

makes it worse is that I got like cuptones 3 the distortion and pethericks spaces reverb and both are just fucking awesome IMO, I guess I'm biased having bought them. but yeah both pushing the nebula envelope further just to be left hanging in the wind by a dumb shit greedy company. so it goes.

 

We could always hope that they make Nebula open-source when they abandon it. Otherwise it would be incredibly unfair to third-party library developers and customers.

 

They are not going to drop Nebula engine into public domain ... because it is Acqua "base engine" too.

They just realized some years ago they got A LOT more clients with Acqua than Nebula.
And they get more cash by releasing plugin after plugin that Nebula only ... and ppl buying third party profiles

PS : i don't even see Nebula 4 in front of their shop page now ... they already don't push it anymore.

 

I bet they steal all the naughty pics of your girlfriends too, at least that's what I would be doing if I could persuade some random people to install my spyware on their computer.

There are rumors floating around that support at Acustica sent a guy a screenshot of *his own screen* captured without his knowledge or permission while he was using Acquarius. The ex girlfriend pics theory may actually be true. Amazing what we put up with for the sounds we like

 

No-one has shown any proof of this. Have they? That little story sounds very Phishy.

 

I saw his story posted on the sister site in passing, forget where exactly. He seemed genuinely scared and disappointed about it, but yeah, no proof (how would you prove it though,besides "bro, trust me it happened").

This wouldn't be too dissimilar to what MS does with their "remote desktop" and the like, and the justification for it is of course "user experience improvement", it's for the clueless people who need hand-holdings from support staff. Acustica could easily slap something like that in their software too, and not worry too much about user privacy or anything - that's their general style. I personally love most of their products, especially the poor forgotten-about Nebula, but their general business practices remind me of the cheeky mafia more than of a customer oriented company. It's so atrocious and careless at times that it makes me laugh.
