Presonus has not released anything beyond a .5 since 4.62, it's mostly been a cash grab since then with little actual improvement IMHO. It's all about getting us to pay their upgrade fees the past 5 years, and in return we've gotten a few solid features and half ass bug fixes, maybe they will finally fix their CPU multi core support in 6.

Sounds like motivational video bring back dubstep vibes in the 2020s :D

Anyway, good news for S1 users.

and I bet they still haven't fixed the buggy grid when the program is left alone for a few hours, or the very limited vertical zoom space to work in (and yet horizontal zoom is endless...a function so utterly useless.) Been using it for years but I've finally had enough and started learning Reaper.

There is a problem that often occurs when you render an instrument to audio and then return to the instrument if you wish. And that problem is that sometimes it renders it wrong and out of sync sounds, I hope they can fix it because it is elementary

i am sure it'll be something that has to do with producing. they're not thinking about the consumers who uses S1 for mixing, atleast not anymore

I suspect it would be some new effects or instruments and some minimal features

I really hope it's not. When will DAW devs learn that we already have plugins to make any song ever. We just want improved workflow and better optimisation. Midi editing in S1 is ass. Scrolling in the mix window randomly changes parameters in plugins (this is not a bug they legitimately think this is useful). S1 is kinda ugly (they all are compared to Logic which I don't use). Please not another shitty nexus clone.

The latest buzzword is AI so maybe they've implemented it somehow.

With Fender at the helm now of S1 who knows what could happen. But here we go again version 6 where we are the program testers who need to wait to version 6.1 to debug a few of the many problems that will be listed. Then we await 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 6.5 and just as you think 85% of things are now fixed.... Version 7 released and we start all over again.

we will see, but they better make this a true upgrade. jumping from .5 to a new version to cash in is not the regular presonus i knew from back in the day, is a bad sign. plus that piece of sh#t called Sphere they sneaked in excluding customers showing off their "exclusive" crap in the software feed, stuff we cant access, that is no ok.

With sphere their philosophy and focus changed and opened the doors to another type of relation with us, a bad one as i see it. instead of focusing to make the best complete daw, they make loose bits and pieces and split their development resources. And now we got it sold to a new owner.. I hope im wrong because i do like the software but we all know how big corporate thinking goes these days

Anyhow, if they took all this time then maybe its a revamp of:The overall look? A better sound-library search-engine maybe? Or a well deserved update of existing sound libraries!? We have practically had the same library since what, 1.0?!

btw, do you remember when they did that super big campaign some months ago and announced live feeds like if something amazing was going to drop! and it was absolutely nothing? hahaha

dont even remember what they presented that day but people were pretty upset lol

I would like to see Ampire's IR loader be of the same quality as OPEN AIR.
But I can say with certainty that this fix is not on the list!:suicide:

Whatever it is, I am looking forward to the update.
