Knobcon 22: PWM Malevolent Official US Launch - 16/09/22

We've looked at the PWM Malevolent synth here for Sonic LAB and enjoyed the character and
grime of this new instrument. Now PWM is officially launched in the US with distributors
and are currently on the water, and will be in the stores in a week or so.

Malevolent is a two oscillator analog synth with some heavy drive circuitry made in conjunction
with Finlay Shakespeare of Future Sound Systems, using a Sallen-Key filter.

Available soon at good US synthesizer retailers priced at $549 - Visit: www.1pwm.com/

Not too expensive. I wonder how much it cost in Europe.
Also, can it be used as USB master keyboard?

Edit: I found the price in Europe: Europe: €579.99 inc. VAT.

You're right about the price, but about the USB c I saw there's one, but it's not clear if it can be used as a master keyboard. Most probably not.

    Anyways it's an interesting machine.

" It can be used as a standard controller keyboard"

On this page you will find the "Malevolent Getting Started Guide" www.1pwm.com/support
I was just reading through the manual and found this one:

    USB-MIDI and Additional
Functions Malevolent is a class-compliant USB device which means it can be connected to your computer via
USB and will your computer will recognise it automatically without the need to install additional drivers.

It can be used as a standard controller keyboard and the joystick will transmit Modulation and Vibrato messages which can be used to control any soft synth or other MIDI instrument. The HOLD function also works over USB-MIDI and Malevolent can be used as a polyphonic MIDI controller even though it is a mono-synth. When using USB or MIDI In, Malevolent receives and transmits messages on MIDI Channel 1 by default. Source: Malevolent Getting Started Guide" www.1pwm.com/support
