In the past week(s) we've seen that NI is dropping Absynth 5. It's one hell of a synth, I wanted to pay a sort of homage by creating a small preset pack for AudioSex. To my demise, and albeit being somewhat IT-seasoned, I could not install Absynth5. I'm running Monterey on an M1 MBP.

Some notes:
- I've searched extensively on the sister site and some people appear able to install and run, even by installing updated versions on "virgin" ground (no basal install).
- The instructions on the contained .txt do not work.
- I've installed pacifist to brute-remove the files but I've not been able to find the proper locations, in spite of being described inside pacifist - probably doing something wrong.

Can a fellow AudioLover give a friend a hand?

I am assuming, due to the reference to "pacifist", that you are on a MAC, but you don't say what version.
Those should always be revealed when looking for help.

 

I had it still from Komplete 12 Ultimate on Mojave and it was working fine. I uninstalled it awhile ago.

 

Try a different version maybe?

 

at first, im not into mac, but ive some general advice. whats the proper name of the release? the full name! what doesnt work? what happened instead? which version of mac os? a lame "it doesnt work" isnt sufficient for anybody to help you!
your thread's title is also misleading, seems like you look for collaborators for preset making... you look for problem solving while installing, isnt it? GodHimSelf, please give members a chance to help you, and deliver some infos

Yes, I forgot some important details... I was half a sleep already...

With the "fresh install from update" there is no show up on the VST tabs. The standalone app is corrupted. The only was I was able to open it was in demo mode.

I was not looking for collaborators but I think it can a terrific idea if anyone wants to join in
