But I have so much pleasure and fun creating my own sounds that it's not for me.
But I understand that for people who dont want to get into synthesis, it can be very interesting if it's well programmed.

 

If you don't want to educate yourself on sound design, you're gonna pay for tools like this.
Personally I see it as a scam.

$500 (or equivalent) gets you NI Komplete, or one of the Arturia bundles, or what have you. Even the Arturia Analog Lab would have thousands of sounds, already tagged and categorized. Not to mention mapped to a controller.

You might be shocked to learn that it's not real AI and likely nothing more than a rompler-ized subtractive synth that scrolls through presets when you hit the "generate" button.

Products like this are borderline fraudulent and I personally wouldn't give them a cent of my money.

Best said, many of those edgier sounds are results of good frequency modulation or phase distortion synthesis. (so phaseplant) Some of those tracks sound like an NI commercial to me, but that's just an opinion.

 

If everything evolves towards AI one day no-one will know how to program & setup or even play an Instrument or do anything else, you'll get imbeciles and morons with no idea or knowledge of music or anything else at all just saying ALEXA compose me a song with music & orchestration and voila instant results. Will Real musicians become obsolete, it just might happen if this becomes the norm.
No thanks, I will stick to my art & passion and do it manually, even if no more VST, MIDI and software were around anymore I can play my musical instruments. I love all the hard work that I put into composing and arranging my music, only then will I add additional software instruments to embellish my creations. But I must point out few common mistakes about this prologue and generally about DUNE saga:
great schools (but in general communities/societies) are more than two:
the main school directly arisen from the revolution against machines (Butlerian Jihad), the Mentats, human computers so AI, forbidden, is avoided;
Tleilaxu, the genetic creators/manipulators;
Ixians, the high tech experts (they build the spaceships on the Holtzman/Cenva design, among other amenities);
Space guild navigators are not able to fold space (ships do), instead, they foresee a safe path to travel in space and hop to destination.
