The sound we are searching isn't a 303. 303 is the acid bassline. Sure, the "piano" sound can be recreated, but I want to find the sample used in the examples.

 

So I spent most of today going back through some sites; ZeroG, Loopmasters, some Vengeance packs I hadn't seen yet. Mainly these packs because it falls in line with what the composer of the first track used for their soundtracks (here's a link to a spreadsheet which shows some of these, just press the "video games" tab at the top, then CTRL+F and type "danganronpa" to see a list of the packs and vsts used there) For a sample that should probably come from a popular sample pack or possible synth, its proving so painfully hard to find. The weird thing is that the sample really sounds different to most other stabs which is why I want it so bad, and also it acts as a way to see what kind of other equipment the composer uses. I've posted up about it on r/edmproduction to see if anyone can help out there too. Not really too sure where to go from here aha

 

Did you just listen to the sound demos on the sites or the whole packs? I think Zero-G Distorted Dancefloors could be close from the sound characteristics. Sadly, I don't got it right now.

 

Mainly the sound demos as I don't own many packs. I actually do own Distorted Dancefloors though, its mainly percussion stuff tho, nothing like the sample unfortunately

Mate Realy? Seriosly? Are you a sample assembler or trying to recreate a sound? Learn how to make it yourself. Grab yourself any FM Synth, start with an FM Piano type sound and Tweak it, wrangle it then Process it,, the melody is really basic.. end of story.

 

Yeah I assemble samples! I’m part of a discord where people try to find sample libraries of game composers and stuff, mainly for recreation purposes or appreciation. More so an interest thing for me as I adore how this series sounds and would love to know the libraries n stuff. I would honestly love to recreate it but I’m still kinda new to production but I’d love to learn how

 

IT HAS BEEN FOUND! It was a reaktor preset, I will post it here once I’ve got more info thanks for your guys’ help!

Someone was able to identify it on a discord server I posted it in! They initially thought it sounded korg-esque, but I guess they delved further into it and remembered it was in reaktor! Internet is down here but as soon as it’s properly back up I’ll share more details

it's almost always from a commercially released pack. I wonder if you had a vast enough library and XO if you could chop a sample and have it compare?
