Has Anyone tried installing waves studiorack 14 and patched with r2r emulator? did you get the vst3 functionality?

 

I don't think it will work that way. We have to wait updated V14 emulator from R2R.

 

i'v try the lasted update and until now i see i wasn't the only one with the vst3 problem... it loads perfect but it wont scan vst3.. it says 0 vst3 scanned.

 

mine doesn't even show the vst3 option in the hamburger menu nor the plugins list

 

I was gonna update Waves this weekend because of the Clarity VX v14, thanks for this I think I will wait for the R2R latest emulator. V.R though released their version, anyone had luck with it for StudioRack ?

 

i know in Vr version , preset browser doesnt work. that alone is a no for me.

 

so it's still not out? the Complete 14 v12 is not the right one?

 

I'm currently using Waves.Complete.v2022.09.12.Incl.Emulator-R2R and everything seems to be working good besides StudioRack.

StudioRack gives me this error, anybody else run into this?

 

Did you install Microsoft WebWiew2 Runtime? If not, download it from HERE, reboot and try again.

BTW, Waves Cosmos requires it as well as few other apps/plugins.

Silly me, I realized I uninstalled that not too long ago because I didn't want anything to do with Microsoft Edge.

Didn't realize it's actually needed and important, I installed it again.

It's now working however there is another issue, the waves plugins aren't showing up in StudioRack. I can load my own vst3 plugins, but no sign of the waves plugins. They are just greyed out.

That's strange... All Waves + 3rd party are working fine here. How about other note from installaton:

Google "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable", download from Microsoft and install/update :
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012 x86 and x64
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2013 x64
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2022 x64
Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime (used by CR8 Sampler)

If you have all these latest installed, maybe you should try full uninstall/reinstall making sure to follow cleanup instructions to the letter.

P.S. During installation leave paths to all VST2/VST3 Waveshells as they are. Waves can act a bit quirky if you move them around.

So I took your advice and made sure to uninstall absolutely everything/every path etc. I also made sure I had all the Microsoft Visual C++

After a total fresh install everything is working perfectly!! Waves plugins are now showing up in StudioRack.
