ignore the second sound (that was my attempt to recreate it)

i can't get closer to the sound therefore i am looking for a patch or something

if anyone thinks they can do it in vital i would be glad to see how

it sounds like a failed attempt at a midrange Reese. 2 oscillators, detuned and no sync with one oscillator giving that vibrato effect. Some kind of noise layer, or done with a Noise oscillator on top of it (frequency wise). A Multiband Distortion would be helpful, like Fabfilter Saturn or Klevgrand Squashit!

I think that would get you closer than any trumpet patch, but I could be wrong. I do have to ask, why would you want to make this sound on purpose?

The first sound is from "ANA 2"
Preset: "A beautiful dread lead" it's up to you to remove the reverb and echo effect and you have your sound all ready ...

when i end up using a sound i try to having them legally in project so i try to make them myself or buy/rent (last resort) if i have to rather than pirated. If i end up using something i like it to be in legal state.

if u can indeed get that sound exactly with that would be great if i could see how u did it. but anyway i'll experiment again later i just know i did most of those things (except the 3rd party distortion) and i always get a fake closeup.

downloading, i'll check and get back to you thanks!

Vital preset attached, needs to be unzipped. Should work as a starting point.

I do the exact same thing. However, I do not let myself get bogged down in the tiny details of the sample you are replacing. I use them almost like a place holder the same as you are, but I do not "recreate" the sample. That is reinventing the wheel type of work. I'd rather use the sample for an idea of what I want, and then make a good sound that has the same purpose. For instance, this patch. I would leave the noise layer off it completely. It's not helping your Signal to Noise ratio at all. Then if you really want the noise layer back, make another channel and put the sound there where you can control it separately. That kind of approach to get rid of the sample. Sometimes it's not even a comparable sound.

When you work with samples, you are sort of just letting the track "go where it wants" and then reacting to that. There's no point in making a copy of the sample if it sounds the same. And if someone wants to track you down over a sample that is not a melodic part, like this one; let them play that noise for their lawyer. The only sound they are going to hear back is a dial tone after being hung up on in outright laughter.

for example if i find things i like in reason (i paid 1 euro for trial for a month)

if its just 1-2 sounds i found that i like to use from that, i want to try recreate in vital or somewhere rather than being dependent on that subscription in the future

its just an effort i make to be not dependent on something

    but sometimes doesn't work

1.5.1 is for all platforms! It's over on the sister site, I'm sure.

yea i listened to it now, it has a step towards that direction indeed,
i'm not sure if its an oscillator kind of thing that prevents the whole thing matching up
