    welcome to the forums

i really like the melodic part at the end, i would liked having it much earlier

every melodic element before that feels like a "rise up" for me

maybe you dont want this, but i would try to rearrange the song in a more usual way

__________________------------------------------'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' <- this is the arrangment now in my feelings

the more usual arrangement could be something lik

    _________------'''''''''''''''''________'''''''''''''''''''------___________

Oh god - how do i expect anyone to understand this :D:D

try to just repeat some frames of your track - so its easier to keep it in mind :)))

mixdown is good - could be better -

when the melodic vibes come in, i think the compressor just works to hard,

i miss some defenition in the lows - is there a sidechain effect working ?
maybe its useful to seperate the kick and bass a little bit more

    Hey Olson,

Thanks for the great feedback. It was very helpful.

And yes i get what you are trying to say with the arrangement of the song.

The bass is side chained to the kick though maybe it needs a little more.

Just a query, when you say the compressor works to hard, how do you figure that out? As in, i have read up a lot on as to how to work a compressor etc etc obv. though whenever i use a compressor i can't really figure out much difference in the signal except that it gets a little soft and then by adding the make up gain it gets louder. How i generally compress is pull the thresh hold completely down, max attack and least release. then start decreasing the attack and inc the release until i think is fine and then finally pull back the thresh hold up. So how do i figure out if the compressor is too hard coz generally i dont do anything more than 3-4 db of gain reduction? Also is this the right technique for compressing?

I hope you understand what im saying. :p

    Thanks anyways! :D

i think its just my cunclusion of the kick-and-bass-thing
really hard to tell - if would like the hear the kick more seperated from the bass and then i try again to say something to this statement, ok ? :bleh:

may i guess in what this was made? FL Studio ? ... just a guess ... because of the reverb at the end :dancing:

    listended also to your "aftermath"

i think this melodic stuff could be really suitable for the mass - definitely keep doing this, okay? :bleh:
