There's a youtube vide of some guy installing it on what appears to be something later than 10.6 and he said it works on Mojave as well. I tried it using the official steinberg installer plus the UB update on their site (https://o.steinberg.net/en/support/unsupported_products/hypersonic/hypersonic_2.html)
but Logic doesn't detected the updated UB AU and Cubase 8's VST Bridge doesn't work (vstbridge connection lost) while Cubase 12 disables it entirely due to the absence of 32bit support.

So how can I get this working?

Seeing as Hypersonic 2 was never 64 bit, and you say you have no 32 bit support, I don't see any way you can. I had enough problems setting it up with jbridge on win 7. Most of the sounds on Hypersonic though you can get on Halionsonic.. Can you not try with that instead?

Didn't occur to me that Logic doesn't support 32bit AUs in 64bit mode. I did try Halion, none of the patches I need are there.
Gonna try with 32lives if I find a working version.

Did you use OSX Validate All AU's? 32bit or not, if Logic's Validation Tool (AUVal) does not allow Logic to "see" the plugin it's not going to work. Did you try loading in Bluecat Patchwork?

Some ideas to try. I'm on Mojave but not very interested in installing things from Steinberg on my MacBook .

Have you considered going to a windows machine with hypersonic 2 installed, sampling the patches and then importing them into a sampler?

I did, most of them are evolving/changing synth patches that change every time you press a key. I'll use a VM if I really really need to then just bounce the audio.

What about importing them into Omnisphere? You can do some wonderful things with that

Eeh. Omnisphere and I aren't friends anymore.
Spent an hour acquiring Patchwork, loaded the VST/AU, says it can't load it (check if it's a compatible 64 bit plugin blah blah)

Looks like I need 32 lives after all. Trying the one from SS as the RT one doesn't work.

32 lives from SS didn't work. Logic still doesn't see the converted AUs even with the cleanup tool and Patchwork can't load the converted x64 ones (they ARE there)

    Ok then.. How about this.:-

Grab yourself a very cheap computer as that is all you need. Install a DAW of choice and HP2. Do the work you need with HP2, and save the stems to wav.. Then incorporate those wavs on your main machine..

I really think there is no other viable solution, other than the VM route you wish to avoid.

You could probably set the DAW as a Master/Slave set up too.

The reason I am not more positive about a good outcome, is because I have not had any 32bit plugins installed on my Mojave install. Because I haven't wanted to use them mostly, but also because my Pro is still on Logic 10.4 and High Sierra. It isn't installed on that machine either, meaning I didn't need it then, so why now?

But I do not think I would recommend chasing a 32bit plugin just because someone on YT mentioned it works... Let him do a YT of it working on Mojave before I put any stock into what could just be some bullshit. Then to have it be not worth your time anyway. This thing is not Sonnox/Soothe...

I'll try something else tomorrow - if that doesn't work I'll just use it in a VM and call it a day. Might just bust out my old Mavericks VM and see if it works there - assuming I still have it.

Like most old Steinberg plugins it's really dear to me so I don't mind jumping through a few hoops to get it working. At least there IS an OSX/UB version I can get my hands on, unlike the old EDIROL plugins.
