I have all of my loops and samples that I collected over many years on an external HDD. 750k + total so far.
I want to ""thin out the herd" so to speak"
I have been using loopcloud for a while as well as sononym.
But recently I did a search for "Kicks/one shots" in loopcloud and came up with over 10,000!
I found that I rarely use drum one-shots on any of my projects
and I want to get rid of all the drum files at once.
I tried selecting all of them and was successful, but it won't let me delete them.
I want to keep the drum loops, and the other instrument one-shots I have,
It would take me weeks to go through the 1.5 Tb and 40k+ folders and delete them manually.
So my question is, What is the easiest and quickest way to do this?
Sorry, I forgot to add that I am using Win10.
    thank you

Windows? I would just type in File Explorer the term "*.Kicks or *.Snare" in the search and let Windows search and delete the results.

I think I may have stumbled on how to do it using Sononym.
I clicked on one-shots and then clicked on the kicks tab and it brought up all of my kick one-shots, almost 10k!
Then I highlighted them all and hit delete. It took a while, but then they were all gone.
I saw my total sample # drop from 754k to 744k. I did it with all the other tabs and dropped my sample count down to 728k!
Well, at least it's a start.
Now I am doing another rescan HDD to see if I missed anything, that takes a while.
I will update the post when done.
    Thanx again.
