    Which graphics card is installed?

    Please try this:

    • Uninstall the NVIDIA driver.
    • Download the latest Studio driver version from here 72.
    • Start the installation (as administrator).
    • Don’t install the whole package, use the Custom (Advanced) settings.
    • Disable everything (don’t install NVIDIA Experience, PhysX, etc.), keep just the video driver enabled.

Probably the cause was a Windows Update that messed up some part of your graphic drivers.

Great news! You are a back-upper like me

    But should it appear again:
0x80070005 Is an access denied error.
When it came out of the blue (you did not update or uninstall directly before the first occurance) check if you have a virus on your PC.

The 0x80070005 error is a quite common behavior of WIN32 floxif.h virus.
What floxif.h does is adding its code to .exe and .dll files spreading itself this way even on network places (intelligent!). But some of the files won't work correctly giving the 0x80070005 error (not so intelligent!) plus it changes file access date on network places (not so intelligent!) -

Floxif.h is removable by cutting off the virus portion of the exe/dll

can assure you all that the problem was not the graphicsdriver. I deactivated it and the problem still was there. I had to activate the local administrator account to get access to system restore. The errocode 0x80070005 is an access deny code. Probably the error came from f up userpermissions.

When you update an app from the Windows 10 Store, install Windows updates, or restore a
system with a restore point, you may see an error code - 0x80070005 - on your computer.

Error code 0x80070005 is one of the most common errors you may encounter while using Windows 10. It occurs in fairly
broad cases, affecting both system and app updates, as well as applications. The error message should not be ignored
under any circumstances, otherwise you will no longer be able to access apps and the operating system may crash.

Solution 1: Switch to the administrator account.
The update error may be caused by a problem with your administrator privileges.
Follow the steps below to fix the problem (using Windows 10 as an example):
Step 1: Type Control Panel in the search box and click the exact result to launch this desktop application.
Step 2: Set the display section to Category.
Step 3: Go to the User Accounts page and click the Change Account Type link to make it an administrator. Enter your password if needed.
Step 4: After that, restart your computer. Then check Windows Update again to see if the Windows Update error 0x80070005 has been fixed.

Solution 2: Grant the user full access.
Sometimes permissions to access files are misconfigured, preventing Windows updates from downloading because they do not have the correct permissions. To fix Windows Update error code 0x80070005, you need to give the user full control.
    Follow these steps:
Step 1: Press Win+R keys on your keyboard, type C:\Users in the text box and search for AppData and then click OK.
    Tip:
Replace C: with the letter of the drive where Windows is installed. USERNAME is the username of the account you are logged into.
Step 2: Right-click on the local folder to select Properties.
Step 3: Navigate to the Security tab and select Edit.
Step 4: Click Add and enter Everyone.
Step 5: Go to Check Names > OK and select the Full Access checkbox.
Step 6: Finally, click OK to save all changes. Then restart your PC to check if the update error 0x80070005 Access denied is resolved.
