    In the future, many musicians, because of inflation / currency devaluation and greatly increased oil and gas prices, can no longer afford to buy hardware. one will then buy an emulation of Moog as software.

    Maybe Behringer still manages to sell its products with its low prices. The future is becoming more and more digital. Software purchase does not need supply chains and is not affected by the chip shortage. Just pay digital and download.

    Can we stop with this bullshit already?

    Sure, sometimes working with limitations can create unexpected results, but this idea that real art is created through suffering is utter shite. Most of the time suffering doesn't create great and real art, it's just suffering.

    it's true to a point with the immediacy delivered by working entirely on a computer/daw though. Think about some of the pain and suffering endured by true tortured musicians. Do you remember SCSI? :guru:

    How dare you sully my post with the truth?

    A lot of what I write is parody, but I do tend to mix it up with my real thoughts on matters too much sometimes. I try to find humour in everything, I can't help it.

    And yes, I did boil my strings. And suffered. But not for my art, that was always a relief/release from the suffering. And that's enough if it's all I ever get from doing it.

    Eh, SCSI wasn't too bad as long as you remembered proper termination. More complex than IDE but way more performant.

    We still have to live with SCSIs legacy, with SAS and iSCSI, the latter being more "fun" than a barrel full of monkeys.

    Ah, misread you. Happens to me sometimes esp. if I'm in a cranky mood, like now. Sorry about that.

    But the thing is, that sort of attitude is really common even today so no wonder I Poe'd myself here. So people who really think that without being sarcastic can fuck right off.

    OMG :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    I caught it was a joke because, you know, it's pretty much all I do instead of something productive

    The way things are going we'll all be starving soon, creating beautiful music and rewarded handsomely by the slow steady trickle of pennies from the few remaining megarich that own everything. It's how things were always meant to be. Busking for billionaires.
