I haven't used tried all but only 3 of 4 of the list. Mac user here.

Eventually dropped Sonarworks SoundID after a few months of use on and off, which is really getting awful (sound wise and most importantly, it keeps dropping when switching audio sources in standalone app mode, whereas for instance Realphones never does as it only uses a single Realphones System-Wide, also with Realphones VST you don't even need to switch the VST off when bouncing audio or exporting the master in Ableton, whereas you need to with SoundID - quite annoying.)

dSoniq Realphones the winner here, especially the latest version is epic (sound wise, presets wise and visually wise).

They are also very available with support and updates on Gearspace here: https://gearspace.com/board/new-pro...ne-mixing-plugin-updated-sound-new-rooms.html Any new headphone or correction request they act on it immediately, unlike Sonarworks which takes ages to release failing betas after betas (I know I was following the FB beta group, and also had many requests with support which didn't go well).

That said I don't use correction softwares much nowadays I've learnt how to mix with my headphones over time without it, I'd say it's less needed than before with the newest headphones and their latest drivers like Beyerdynamic for example Tesla (1990 Pro) or STELLAR.45 (900 X) I'm getting incredible bass response and dynamics (don't forget to get an extra premium and transparent headphone amp to make the most of it). But it's nice to turn it on from time to time in Ableton, to see how it sounds like vs. reference tracks.

And in the standalone app also when watching movies or YouTube videos I guess :)

Morphit & Can Opener is a good combo, back off the Morph % to taste, and set the Can Opener crossfeed angle between 45 and 50 degrees using the Mix Engineer preset.

Why use two apps when a single one (Realphones) does the job alone in 2022? I don't get this process.

Don't get me wrong I love Goodhertz and Toneboosters plugins, but why complicate your life and match different things (with the risk of creating artifacts and latency)?

What's Isone, it's been discontinued since your wrote since, right? Can't find anything on Toneboosters website, it looks like a very old plugin?

Because they are both good at what they do. Morphit equalises the headphones, and Can Opener provides the crossfeed.

It's best to find one that you like and stick with it. I have clocked up thousands of hours listening to reference material with my HD600/Morphit/Can Opener combo, and the sound is ingrained in my brain. It's the one I trust the most, although Sienna is way more fun.

I have tried several, but the truth is that I am not very familiar with these tools. Monitors are monitors. But, "Realphones" is very good and so is Sonarworks Reference. But I am not an expert in these plugins

It sounds like a very combo you have here, yeah I only heard good things about the HD600 as well.

They even talked about this combo on the Realphones thread, it seems to be the most acclaimed alternative, since it allows for crossfeed too.

Yeah agree the sound is also ingrained in my brain over the months and years lol

Sienne looks fun I'll check it out of curiosity.
