Logic Pro Sampler

Discussion in 'Software' started by Vincent Price, Aug 22, 2022.

  1. Hello,

I am using Logic Pros Sampler and when I import a sample the further up the keyboard I go the quicker the sample is tempo wise. How do I turn this off?

    Thanks

Use Quick Sampler, it has a Flex mode for this purpose..

  4. Is that still there on logic 10?

Quick Sampler was introduced in Logic Pro 10.5, so anything 10.5 or newer it's there. (Current Logic version is 10.7.4)

logic's sampler sux a55, use the older version of logic until they get the unison. levels back to normal, it also loads older samples incorrectly, send a email to apple and tell Tim Crook to focus on fixing his stuff instead of......

thats due to no time stretch seems enabled by default. timestretch einsures that the pitch is changed, but the sample length is the same.

What you experienced is actual the normal behaviour if you pitch a sample up.

Here are more information about timestretching: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_time_stretching_and_pitch_scaling

in the Logic sampler, you go to the mapping tab and click the Pitch button at the bottom so it is not illuminated. Bottom of this page in Yellow:
