    Hi

Anyone else with some GUI problems in Roland Cloud Juno-60 ?

The Hold Key button has no effect... and the Arpeggiator speed button does not work correct either.

Try some WD-40, but use it sparingly.

That makes me wonder if it might be a VST3 version problem.
R2R mentioned the VST3 may be buggy so i installed the VST2 as well, but never got around to using them enough to know.

Well, the VR package has the 60, and the troubles R2R mentioned were a few i think, and worse in the VST3 stuff.
So i am just assuming it might be a Roland problem no matter who delivers the package.
I have avoided using them due to the warning, and the fact that others have good emulations.

    R2R said,
"Roland Cloud plugins are bad coded and not tested well by the developer. We
found many issues during the test (especially VST3 version). If you have
problem with plugins, try other formats (VST2/VST3) or uninstall it :) "

I am running a "slimmer" setup than I had, but I may still install them again as I have all the presets collected and sitting in a Daw Library drive just waiting

Tried that. But in Legendary & ARIA installer there are VST2 versions for all other Roland Cloud synths...but not for Juno 60... for Juno 60 there is only a VST3 version....strange.

Apparently no problem with the Hold Key in Cockos Reaper. Thanks to Zenarcist for this information.
So it could be a DAW problem. I use FL Studio. Anyone here with Ableton, Cubase, Reason....?

Since it is FL Studio, you might try under the VST wrapper settings: Troubleshooting "Use Fixed Buffers" and perhaps one of the sub-selections.

    Tried that already....
So for the moment i have to use the built in FL Studio arpeggiator and my KORG M1 sustain pedal as substitute for the hold key...

I'm away from the computer right now, but as an alternative have you checked out the TAL Juno emulation? thats my go to, I checked the Roland cloud out and ended up unistalling it... which is rare for me. the reason I love the Juno (besides I used to have one) is that it's so simple to setup sounds with the interface... and the Roland cloud interface was the opposite of that for me.

I don't know if the Tal Juno has a hold on the arp, I'm guessing it does as it's super faithful to the original- and the last update they added the unison trick where you could stack all the voices up by holding down those two buttons. hell yeah, that was my only issue with it.

I'm on Mac, and just adding to the Roland topic because sometimes you guys just see the one platform behaving badly. Well, for me all the Roland Cloud emulations have run horribly. It's almost like how the Virus DSP56300 was before they started optimizing it. Even the drum machine emulators make an empty Logic project run like I have a full song of stems loaded. So for Mac anyway, they are good releases by a good releaser/team. They are just not such a great product for my system, at least. I do not believe they were very well tested at all.

Roland support sent me an answer.... so it's not a bug...it's a feature:
"The Hold key works, but not the way that people expect. When the Hold is activated, any key clicked with your mouse in the plugin UI window will sustain. Shift-clicking will let you add keys to the hold."
It's a strange decision, cause i don't think the hardware synth had a shift key built in ...but it works.

Right you are. The Stormchild post in this GS thread sheds a little more light on the situation. Happens in VST3 and AU for me.

As he states, the hold key does work when clicking the keys on the UI. Weird.

Oh, that is interesting to know. I have got on pretty well with the Cloud stuff considering. My biggest issues is the GUI resolution. The SRX modules always reset to 122% size after opening bottom panel though, I don't use this much. I remember the early iterations were real buggy, but they have come a long way. Some of my favourite sounds.

There is also the Softube Model 84 which is a virtual clone. If I could only own one Juno VST this would be it.
