I am still relatively new to using downloading services, so please bear with me if this is entirely due to user error.

I am trying to download the Lite versions of Spitfire Audio Kepler and Neo on the sister site.
I am a member and logged in. I also have an active subscription atm through RG.
Every time I go to try and dl Spitfire lite versions, RG complains that the file is not found.
I cannot use the other file hosters as I don't have a current subscription with them, only with RG.
Am I missing something here? Are they really being taken down on a regular basis? Can I solve this in the future by using LinkSnappy and having more options?

    Thanks

To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure why anyone chooses to pay for a subscription to just one service.. RG, or Uploaded, or other. The cost of those is usually around double the price of one of the cheaper Debrid services.. and maybe the same as Linksnappy. The difference, of course, is with Linksnappy or other Debrid service, you have access to many different file sharing services... so if RG's links are removed, there's hope that something like Katfile will still have it for you to download.

Some of the hosts have quota limits, but I think it tends to be for shit I never use anyways. Also, it's possible that the speed from the direct File Share is faster, but I find the speed via debrid quite fast anyways.

As far as general file share retention.... I'd say with new AZ posts, there's a very minimal chance I won't be able to download it... in fact, I can't recall that ever happening. With older posts (say > half a year or more) it starts to get to be a potential problem no matter what file share you use. However, yes, with a debrid service, you have more cracks at being able to download, as sometimes the files will still be lingering around on one of the file shares. You also should try all mirrors too.. sometimes there's mirrors posted in the comments of a post. You can also try requesting a mirror too.

Anyways, I can honestly say that I'll never subscribe to just one file share though.. I personally have used Linksnappy, and am now using Real-debrid. I use RD now because LS temporarily stopped taking Paypal and would only accept Bitcoin payments. That happened to happen right when it was time to renew. Plus, RD is less than half the price, and I honestly think it works at least as well as LS. To me, individual file shares are way over priced, and it's so much better value to use a debrid service, not to mention more reliable, IMO.

Yes, Spitfire is pretty quick in that matter. And you're right all RG, NF and kat are down.

This was a gift from my good friend. He trusts RapidGator. So can't really balk at that. But in the future I am willing to look at another service, for sure. You seem to enjoy Real Debrid, so I will consider that for sure. Do they accept credit card?

Thanks for the confirmation. It is a shame because those minified versions are really useful.

Yes, they do accept credit card. I'm absolutely not at all affiliated with Real debrid, and have no allegiance to any of these things.. just looking to use what works WELL, and what doesn't cost a lot. There's other debrid services too that some people may recommend. LinkSnappy was good for me too, it just costs more, and isn't worth the extra cost. The one major reason I didn't choose Real Debrid over LS in the beginning was because RD's website is absolute garbage. I didn't think it was very informative as to what I was going to be getting for the money I'm spending.. but I can say I'm quite happy with it right now, and would keep using RD over LS.

But yah, looks like the thing you want is gone. That's where I'd suggest Audionews as a backup.. if you are unfamiliar, it's a torrent site. Google for the link. Pretty much anything here is on Audionews, plus a lot more because the torrents don't ever get pulled, like file share links.

It is invite only, I think (but also temporarily drops that requirement frequently), and they have an annoying quota there, but I paid around $20 once, and still have a lot of my quota left.. or you can just seed something popular and probably easily build up your quota.

To add a practical answer :
    1. Yes some material can be taken down fast, and on a regular basis, because developers, specially the bigger ones, can have someone watching AudioZ every x days.
No, using their party download intermediary will not help, as the material maybe taken in one host 2days faster that the other, but that's all. Also many members reported problems while using these 3rd party intermediaries.

    2. Solution: Anyways, at AudioZ, everything is being reuped also on a regular basis, usually around 48hours.
So just wait and watch the post, it will be up soon

Thanks for all the replies. I learned a bit how this works. For now, I am fortunate that the libs are available at all, albeit very large downloads, so rip hard drive.

Frankly I would love to learn how to "minify" these libs myself. Provided it isn't overwhelmingly difficult. Anyone know what it takes? It's cutting out the close and far mics and repackaging it.

Okay thank you. I will have to hope for an open signup day then. I have heard of the site before. I will try Real Debrid going forward.

I am just sitting here and had a thought. These Spitfire Libraries are absurdly expensive and most of us cannot afford them (even when they are on sale) and in addition, if we are just starting to learn how to compose or write a score (as an example) it totally benefits them to turn the blind eye as they would actually gain customers in the future.

To be perfectly honest uploaders gave us lots and lots of Kontakt libs and tutorials to download for free and why not buy rapidgator from their links to support what they have done for us instead of buying debrid servies which does absolutely nothing to the scene.
I tried supporting uploaders as much as possible, but that is me.
