I was thinking...

Will there be a program like Band in a Box but orchestra-oriented? with different styles such as Baroque, Classic, Cinema, contemporary, etc?

A program where you enter the harmony and the program generates the arragement in different styles, with soloists, etc

I think it would be REALLY USEFULL!

Does anybody knows is there anything like this around?

Interesting idea, however east west launched it's OPUS Orchestrator and it comes with tons of midi pack, and also there's scaler comes with bunch of templates too ..there's also https://creators.aiva.ai/ .. can create instant composition nearly every genre.

I've consulting aiva.ai.. not really what I'm looking for, for 2 reasons: too much "black box" (no control) for me, and the system, as I understand, is a web platform, so no way to crack it.

About eastwest, as I understand, they offer their own DAW to use their libraries? or their libraries can be used in kontakt?

 

OPUS is a different library, eastwest is a virtual instrument not a sampler like kontakt, how about dynascore ? https://www.wonder.inc/dynascore/

About aiva.ai, consulting their page I understood that to produce music for commercial uses you'll have to pay yes or yes (and it's not cheap), because it's a web platform, no way to use it otherwise. I mean there's no way to download the application, keygen it and use it freely. Am I right?

So easwest libraries are virtual instruments usable in any DAW (protools, fruity loops, etc)?

 

EastWest has its own sampler called "Play" which is free but the libraries cost money of course.

It seems to me that Dynascore is not a tool for composers, it's just a music editor for visual creators

I've been checking eastwest Hollywood orchestrator, I don't know the product but may be it is the closest to what I had in mind. Anybody has tried this product?
